• Blue Spruce & Wintertime

Blue Spruce…don’t you think the name is perfect?  Sue and I brainstorm quilt names all the time, and this one was taking us a while.  But the moment Sue said Blue Spruce, I knew that was it!  Some things are meant to be. Blue Spruce is a wall-size quilt measuring 34 1/2″ x 44″, so it’s perfect for almost any space.  It may be small, but it’s mighty, and it’s one of my favorites.  It’s designed for all applique methods, including fusible.  The pattern will be ready in January. Crystal Lane Panel Crystal Lane features a panel of 24 winter drawings, all approximately 4″ x 4″ finished.  You’ll find more…

  • a million little crystals

The snow is sparkling like a million little crystals.  You’ll find these words on the selvage of Crystal Lane, my next fabric line for Moda.  It’s one I’ve fallen in love with because next to pink, my favorite color is French Blue!  In shades of Crystal Blue, Winter White, and a touch of Nutmeg, Crystal Lane will take you into the Winter season of 2021. It’s a time for crisp mornings and cold nights, cold toes, and cold noses.  Crystal Lane ships to quilt shops in April of 2021, and I’ve got lots of new patterns to go with it! I’ll show you all the new patterns this week, starting…

Pumpkin Hill, my first book with Martingale Publishing, is available at quilt shops and book stores now.  With running squirrels, a pumpkin coach, acorns, and all things fall, Pumpkin Hill is a whimsical quilt to enjoy every season. The design is timeless, and the fabrics are easy to replicate. Martingale has created a book that’s as cute as the quilt.  Page after page is filled with colorful photos and delightful artwork.  The pattern page is a pull-out with full-size drawings.…

  • Squirrelly Girl

We’re waiting and waiting for Squirrelly Girl to arrive!  And like everything else these days, it’s taking longer for things to ship.  I’ve been told it will be around September 9th, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.  Squirrelly Girl is coming all the way from Japan, so she has a long voyage.  But once she makes it to Moda, they won’t want her sitting around stirring up trouble.  They’ll get her out right away. If you’ve pre-ordered a Squirrelly Girl kit or a Fat Quarter bundle, we’ll be shipping yours first.  I’ll have a few extra kits available after the pre-orders ship.  There are a lot of backings to be…
