It’s a Bunny Hill Sale!
There’s a sale going on at Bunny Hill! Everything on our website is 25% off for the next three days, July 3rd through July 4th. If my Country Christmas quilt is in your future, and you don’t have the pattern yet, this would be the time to buy it. It’s so much more than a quilt pattern! The Country Christmas pattern is filled with designs you can easily convert into little Christmas projects. Trace the design onto freezer paper and cut out on the traced line. Place fabric right sides together, iron the freezer paper to fabric. Stitch around the pattern right next to the freezer paper, leaving a 1″…

Scrap Bags and SVG Files
If you don’t know what an SVG file is, you’re not alone. A little over a year ago, I didn’t either, but when we started getting requests for these files, I did my research and loved what I learned. If you own a Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine, SVG files can save you hours of template cutting. My assistant Sue and I each purchased a Circut cutting machine and set about learning to use them. The end result is exciting! We have our first set of SVG files available for Country Christmas on our website! If there’s enough interest, we’ll have SVG files available for all of my new applique…

It Takes a Village
Moda is always thinking of customers, and it’s especially true during a pandemic. The generosity of this company is so wonderful. I’m sharing a gift from Moda that’s free on their website during this time. The “Village” quilt pattern from Miss Rosie and Moda is one of my favorite quilts. Isn’t it cute? Link to Village Pattern I’m excited about this pattern because I’ve wanted to make it since I first saw it. So, I’m going to sew along with everyone else. It may take me forever to finish this quilt, but I’m joining in, and I think my assistant Sue is going to join too! It’s so much…

more new patterns
It’s show-and-tell for Squirrelly Girl. She’s excited to show you some of her squirrelly friends! We’ve got four more patterns coming soon. Sugar Squirrels If I had to pick a fat quarter quilt to love, it would be this one. I’m calling this Sugar Squirrels, and I’ve adapted it from my Sugar Bunnies quilt pattern. If you love Autumn quilts, add this one to your list. You can make the bias vines quickly with a 1/4″ bias maker, the applique is simple, and the star blocks are easy to piece. Need I say more? Acorn Soup I love charm pack quilts and I designed Acorn Soup to use a…

Squirrelly Girl is coming soon!
While we’re hibernating in our homes, Squirrelly Girl has been out visiting everyone she can! Our Moda reps may not be able to bring her to quilt shops in person, but they are doing their best to make sure everyone meets her. She’s coming your way in August. Over the next few posts, I’ll be introducing you to her. She’s been featured both in fabric and in my newest applique quilt! I really hope it doesn’t go to her head (she’s a feisty one)! We’ll be taking pre-orders for this Moda quilt kit in April, but please call your local quilt shop to ask if…

Let’s re-color a quilt
Let’s face it, new fabric has a shelf life, and within a year, it can be challenging to find. What can you do when you find a quilt you want to make, but the fabric isn’t available anymore? I’ll show you! Cottontail Cottage is the perfect spring quilt, and it’s so much fun to stitch, but by now, the fabric is almost impossible to find. So, I went looking for a Moda fabric line with spring colors similar to Cottontail Cottage. Here’s my original quilt: With the help of the fabric guide inside the pattern, I selected Summer Sweet by Sherri & Chelsi, and then Sue and I set out…
