• The Flower Farm

Sometime in September, a quilt shop near you might be getting a bouquet of flowers! It could arrive looking like this Fat Quarter bundle… Or, maybe it will be in a Moda Box disguised as a Flower Farm Quilt Kit!  58″ x 68″ Quilt. Or, in the form of flower fabric, to make a bundle of tulips like these… Regardless of how it arrives, I think it will make you smile!.  The Flower Farm is my newest fabric line for Moda Fabrics. I chose an assortment of red, pink, sage, and cream colors for this line that I hope you will love! I’ve got a selection of pieced and applique…

  • Moda Blockheads 4, Blocks 2 & 3

Block 3 Good morning (or good afternoon), everyone! Today Moda is releasing Blockheads 4, block 3! It’s not too late; you can still join in the fun. You can easily catch up this weekend and make the first 3 blocks. Here’s my version of Block 3. I’m making it in my new fabric line coming in August/September, called The Flower Farm. Block 3 was designed by Laurie Simpson from Minick & Simpson, and she’s named her block “Kouign Amann.” If you don’t know what Kouign Amann is, I didn’t either, but you can find out by clicking on Laurie’s blog today. You can find the pattern for Block 3 on…

  • Moda Blockheads 4, will you join me?

I’m a proud member of Moda Blockheads 4, and I hope by now you are too! In case you haven’t heard about it, Moda’s blockheads are a collection of free quilt blocks that are released once a week on Wednesday. There are 26 designer blocks and 8 bonus blocks. Each block is offered in two different sizes, either 9″ or 4 1/2″. You can choose one size or do a combo of both, but the end result will be a beautiful sampler quilt in a setting of your choice. You can choose from different settings along the way, and you can pull fabric from your stash for a scrappy quilt…

  • Crystal Lane is here!

Happy New Year, everyone! We’ve made it through another year, and to say I’m excited about 2022 would be an understatement. Don’t you love it when one year ends and we can start fresh in a new year? Guess what? Crystal Lane is finally here, and if you’re partial to all things blue and white like I am, then you’ll have the perfect excuse for some January sewing. Welcome, Crystal Lane! Maybe I should remind everyone what Crystal Lane looks like! It’s been so long you may have forgotten. Here’s the main print in my Crystal Lane line, and this one also happens to be my favorite. I try and…

  • perfectly imperfect

As national dog day becomes national dog week at my house, we have a new addition to our family to tell you about!  You know I have a weakness for Terriers, right?  So meet our new perfectly imperfect senior, Tinkerbell. We’ve only had her for two months, but I am officially declaring her a family member. Actually, I declared her a family member on day one! She fits right in! She’s great with Chelsea, great with our kitties, and adores everyone she meets! ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We adopted her from Muttville, a senior dog rescue in San Francisco. I feel like we found a real treasure! Just look at that face!…

  • Happy 4th!

I love the July 4th weekend, don’t you?  It gives us extra time to sew, and more time to celebrate with family.  Yesterday I made potato salad, enough to last through the weekend.  Add a few burgers and we’re good to go.  That should keep hubby happy and give me more time at the machine! I’m making little tags, from my Prairie Days tag fabric and I’ll be stitching them into the binding or seams of all my USA projects!  Handmade tags for my handmade gifts!  You can make them too as soon as this fabric arrives. By this time next year, I hope you’ll have made a 4th of…
