The Flower Farm

Sometime in September, a quilt shop near you might be getting a bouquet of flowers! It could arrive looking like this Fat Quarter bundle…

Or, maybe it will be in a Moda Box disguised as a Flower Farm Quilt Kit!  58″ x 68″ Quilt.

Or, in the form of flower fabric, to make a bundle of tulips like these…

Regardless of how it arrives, I think it will make you smile!.  The Flower Farm is my newest fabric line for Moda Fabrics. I chose an assortment of red, pink, sage, and cream colors for this line that I hope you will love! I’ve got a selection of pieced and applique patterns, a Sweet Stitches pattern, and another Bunny Hill Petite. My patterns will be available very soon, with PDF patterns available for every pattern in this line! If you are one of our International customers, we’re doing PDFs to cater to you, but everyone might benefit. Here’s a look at the quilts coming soon!

Tulip Time is a pieced pattern that’s easy to make. it uses a Layer Cake and a bit of yardage. it measures 53″ x 60″.

Or maybe Market Morning fits your style. Layer Cake friendly and perfect for some fun quilting on the border. Pieced baskets and applique handles make this quilt a great one for beginners. Market Morning measure 54″ x 54″.

If you love embroidery, Tussie-Mussie is so sweet!    5″ finished.

Blossom is my new petite. She’s 5″ x 6″ finished and wears a cute felt flower on her tail.

I’ve decided to leave the pre-orders to quilt shops. If we support our local shops, they will be there for us long-term. So if you’d like to pre-order The Flower Farm quilt kit or fabric bundles, please ask your local quilt shop if they will offer them or visit www.thefatquartershop.com. If you prefer fusible applique, we can help you find a shop that will be laser-cutting this quilt.

One last thing I should mention:  I’m sure everyone has noticed that prices are going up on everything we buy, and fabric is no exception. So get ready to pay more for quilting fabric everywhere. It’s a sign of the times and can’t be helped. I say that fabric is the best medicine we can buy. It keeps us together and brings us so much joy. I’d be lost without my sewing. How about you? Have you thought about what this craft we call quilting means to you?

Have a wonderful week, and I’ll be back on Wednesday as the featured designer for Moda Blockheads, Block 4! Hope to see you then,

Anne

I so love you, Anne! I have been frugal with my fabric spending but that went out the window when I saw this new line! I have preordered some precuts and that precious cat and top quilt patterns are going to make their way to my sewing room. Prices are going up but fabric doesn’t expire and fills my heart with a creative vibe that chases away the stress of life.  Thank you dear Anne for your kindness and creativity!💕

Oh, Anne, this is such a beautiful line. I’d like to make one of each quilt. Will need to order several layer cakes at a least. Will Shabby be doing the laser cut applique for this one? ❤❤❤

I am definitely going to need some of these beautiful prints for my stash!  Love all your new patterns too, the tulips quilt looks like it would be fun to make, and the little cat is darling.

This is such a gorgeous line, Anne!  Yes, the rise in prices is a bit daunting, but sewing/quilting is such an important and wonderful, creative outlet.  I may just need to be a bit more selective in what I buy, and this line is at the top of my list for this Fall!  Looking forward to seeing your new patterns too . . .

I love every one of them!  I now have a scan n cut ( that I am afraid of!) and think this might be a great project to use her.  I will be making more than one of the kittens as I have 6 granddaughters. he grandson will get a puppy!
