• Let’s make this!

The angels are here, and the countdown to Christmas officially begins at Bunny Hill!   Our Christmas fabric, I Believe in Angels, has shipped, and I hope you are ready for some fun! Just look at these prints! Don’t you feel like Christmas will be sweet this year? I’m ready for a few Christmas angels in my life, and I hope you are too! One of my favorite quilts from this line is the one with the same name as the fabric, I Believe in Angels. It’s a quilt that makes me smile and brings joy to my heart.  Here’s a little behind-the-scenes story:   As I worked through the design of…

  • Embroidery becomes applique

I’ve never thought about taking an embroidery pattern and doing it in applique. But, after seeing these blocks from @sew_serenakim, I can’t imagine why I haven’t! Serena took the “I Believe in Snowmen” embroidery blocks and made them in applique!  Just look how cute these are… This is one of those moments where you say, why didn’t I think of that?  She’s made me want to make this quilt one more time, or maybe a smaller version of *I Believe in Snowmen”.   This pattern was discontinued, but I just found two boxes of patterns, so I’ve added them back to our website.  There’s still time if you’re feeling creative! Great…

  • BH4, Blocks 9, 10 & 11

It’s a three-block day at Bunny Hill! I’m catching up and sharing my last three Block Heads blocks in one post, and I might have a little surprise for you at the end of this post. Moda Block Heads 4 is the first Block Heads sew along I’ve done, and it’s been a sweet one for me. I love stitching up all these different blocks! It’s become my Saturday afternoon “me” time. I hope those of you making this quilt are enjoying it as much as I am. With each block photo, I’m trying to include something special. It might be a flower from my garden or a trinket in…

  • It’s Blockheads Day!

It’s Wednesday, and time for Block 7 of Moda’s Blockheads sew-along!  It’s brought to us today by Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings.  She’s calling this one “Game Board,” and the name is perfect for this block.  You can find Lisa over on her blog today talking about her block. I’m watching these blocks pop up on Instagram and Facebook already.  It’s really something to see how fast some of you get them finished, and there are so many cute blocks! I’m using my upcoming fabric line called The Flower Farm for this quilt. It’s been so much fun to sew these blocks!  This line is due to arrive at quilt…

  • Blocks 5 & 6 = Friendship

I’m sharing 2 blocks today.  2 blocks from two more of my Moda “sister” designers.  One of the fun things about being a Moda designer is the wonderful friendships we make with each other. So I think of these blocks as making a friendship quilt.  I hope each of you makes friends along the way and can share with each other.  The Moda Blockheads group is a good one to join, and you’re sure to make some friends along the way. BH4 Block 5 - Two of Five - from Barb of Me & My Sister fame As I was sewing this block, I thought of all the fun times…

  • Moda Blockheads 4, Block 4

Welcome to Bunny Hill, everyone! It’s time for Block 4, brought to you today by me, Anne Sutton of Bunny Hill. My block is simple, so I’ve given it a simple name…say hello to Spinner! Spinner is an easy block to make, but don’t be deceived by its simplicity. It can have different looks depending on fabric placement! I hope you have fun playing around with this one. I sure did! I know you are anxiously awaiting Blockheads 4, Block 4, so here you go! Spinner Block 4 And here's the link to the Spinner pattern on Moda's blog: Moda's BLog, Spinner, Block 4   If you have a special…
