pre-cut sale, scrap bags and blueberry delight!
Pre-cuts and scrap bags are two of my favorite things! And pre-cuts are always more fun when they go on sale. We’ve rounded up all the fat quarter bundles, layer cakes, jelly rolls, charm squares, and mini charms in stock and put them on sale for 25% off! We’ve also put our remaining Flower Farm fabric on sale. It’s time to decide what fabrics you love and add them to your stash. You know how the fabric world works…here now and gone tomorrow. Once these are gone, we can’t get them again. Here’s the link to all the pre-cuts and fabric on sale. PRECUTS! FLOWER FARM FABRIC! Scrap Bags are…

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year, everyone! I absolutely love the first day of the year, don’t you? It always seems like a “free” day. One of those days when you can relax and fit in extra sewing time. I’m spending today working on a new Petite pattern for my next fabric line, and I’m going to sew more of my Blockheads 4 blocks together. I had hoped to have this one complete by the end of the year, but I got sidetracked on the little quilt you see below. You know how it is when you want to start a new project! Over the last few weeks, I’ve been making a new…

Sampler Spree Quilt-Along
It’s been one of those weeks and it’s only Wednesday!. I’ve been trying all week to get this post out, so I can tell you about the new quilt-along hosted by Moda Fabrics and Susan Ache. But, when you work from home you never know what things will interrupt your best intentions. So, let’s get right to it before I get interrupted again. Here’s what you need to know…the quilt-along starts TODAY! The quilt-along features Susan’s new book called Sampler Spree. You’ll need to purchase a copy of the book in order to participate (I have some copies on my website if you need one, or you can purchase from…

sewcialities block 35 – compassion
It’s time for block 35 for the Sewcialities sew-along from Fat Quarter Shop! If you’ve been following this sew-along, you should be very excited! After this block, there is only one block left, and then you can assemble and finish your quilt. This week’s block, designed by me, is called Compassion, and it’s super easy. If you’re making the 3″ version of this quilt, you’ll thank me for this easy one. Everyone should have success with this block because it’s designed for beginners. My only advice is to starch and press your fabrics before you cut. The starch gives the fabric more body and helps keep it from raveling. This…

Catching Up
Yesterday was another Moda deadline, and it feels good to cross it off my list. We’ve been working on new designs for my next fabric line (the one coming after Crystal Lane). Today I’m feeling a bit giddy because designs are finished, and we’ll be testing each one as we make them. Since we’ve only worked with my new fabrics virtually on the computer, it will feel great to see them come alive in fabric! Yardage arrived on Friday, so we’re going to be busy! I don’t know how cats can find a piece of fabric anywhere, but cat owners know they can! I was cutting fat quarters from my…
