Keepsake, My Blockheads 5 Quilt Block
Hi Everyone, and welcome to Moda’s Blockheads 5, Group 2, Block 15 block! I’m Anne Sutton of Bunny Hill Designs, and if you’re visiting for the first time, I’m glad you’re here! I love a Churn Dash quilt block, so of course, I had to use a variation for my Blockheads 5-15 block! Since My Summer House fabric line has just shipped, I selected these fabrics for my block! It was so much fun to play with this block! It’s simple to make, and if you follow Anna Dineen’s directions, you’ll have it completed in no time! She’s made the flying geese and half-square triangles slightly oversized so you can…

BH4, Blocks 20, 21 & 22
Here are the next three Blockheads 4 blocks from my weekend catch-up sewing! I will confess that my brain is now a blockhead’s brain. I can only think and talk with words that include triangles, rectangles, or squares! #20 Stop-Go Block number 20 is brought to us from Stacy Lest Hsu. If you’re familiar with her designs, you know that this block represents her perfectly. Her fabrics and patterns delight children and parents all over the world! I’ve made quite a few myself for my grandkids. This block reminded me of red light, green light, the game so many of us played growing up! I jumped at the chance to…

BH4, Blocks 15, 16, 17, 18 & 19
I have recently discovered that if you lock yourself in your sewing room and pretend you’re not home, you can get a LOT of sewing done! That’s what I did last week to catch up with my Blockheads 4 blocks. I gave my husband strict orders not to call me for all the little things he usually does; I silenced my notifications on my phone, cleaned my machine, put in a new bobbin, and then the sewing began. I worked like crazy, binged-watched TV, and now I’m almost caught up with Moda’s Blockheads 4! Here are five more blocks! #15 Highland Plaid Coming to us from Crystal Manning, the Highland…

BH4, Blocks 12, 13 & 14
Here’s some news for those who are sewing along on Moda’s Blockheads 4: Once you finish Block 14, you are halfway through the quilt! Let me re-word that; you are halfway through the designer blocks. You’ll need to choose two bonus blocks to have 30 blocks. When I started this sew-along, I was only going to make 25 blocks. But now I’ve changed my mind, and I’m going for all 30. This quilt will be for me; I don’t get to do many of these. The colors I’m working with are feminine, and the blocks are designed by friends. Who can ask for more? It may be taking me forever,…

BH4, Blocks 9, 10 & 11
It’s a three-block day at Bunny Hill! I’m catching up and sharing my last three Block Heads blocks in one post, and I might have a little surprise for you at the end of this post. Moda Block Heads 4 is the first Block Heads sew along I’ve done, and it’s been a sweet one for me. I love stitching up all these different blocks! It’s become my Saturday afternoon “me” time. I hope those of you making this quilt are enjoying it as much as I am. With each block photo, I’m trying to include something special. It might be a flower from my garden or a trinket in…

It’s Blockheads Day!
It’s Wednesday, and time for Block 7 of Moda’s Blockheads sew-along! It’s brought to us today by Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings. She’s calling this one “Game Board,” and the name is perfect for this block. You can find Lisa over on her blog today talking about her block. I’m watching these blocks pop up on Instagram and Facebook already. It’s really something to see how fast some of you get them finished, and there are so many cute blocks! I’m using my upcoming fabric line called The Flower Farm for this quilt. It’s been so much fun to sew these blocks! This line is due to arrive at quilt…
