Blockheads

BH4, Blocks 20, 21 & 22

Here are the next three Blockheads 4 blocks from my weekend catch-up sewing! I will confess that my brain is now a blockhead’s brain. I can only think and talk with words that include triangles, rectangles, or squares!

#20 Stop-Go

Block number 20 is brought to us from Stacy Lest Hsu. If you’re familiar with her designs, you know that this block represents her perfectly. Her fabrics and patterns delight children and parents all over the world! I’ve made quite a few myself for my grandkids. This block reminded me of red light, green light, the game so many of us played growing up!

I jumped at the chance to feature my snails again in a block, and I was glad I placed them on my fabric going both directions. It made for a bit of fun with this block! If you’d like a few snails yourself, you can purchase them in just a few weeks! My fabric I’m calling The Flower Farm, ships from Moda very soon!

#21 Shiny Bauble

If you’re thinking about diamonds, jewels, or Christmas, this next block is perfection! It’s from Janet Clare, and she’s calling it Shiny Bauble. It’s a paper pieced block, and since I don’t do much paper piecing, I watched the video she has on her blog. This was a fun one to make, but for me, it wasn’t the easiest. Making this block refreshed my paper piecing and encouraged me to try something new. Give it a try!

#22 Star Patch

Block #22 is from one of my favorite designers, Sherri McConnell. of “A Quilting Life” fame. Of course, this block is one of my favorites because it features a star! I’m getting a lot of favorites as I go along, but this is one of the tops!

Considering this was the last block in my weekend of mass sewing, I was amazed that I could even think. Of course, it helped that this block was pretty easy, and anytime I can use my tiny pink floral fabric, I’m happy.

I think I’m finally caught up until a new block comes out on Wednesday!  Happy triangles, rectangles, and squares this week!
