• The Merci La Vie Quilt

Writing about the Merci La Vie quilt gives me an overwhelming feeling of emotion.  Each time I think of the special ladies who worked on this quilt I realize what a special place in my heart they each hold.  As I prepare to leave for Quilt Market this year, I’m reminded that I’ll be seeing some of them very soon.  I want to scoop them up into a huge group hug!   If you don’t remember hearing about this Merci La Vie quilt, you can read about it on my blog here. This special quilt is currently at the American Cancer Society getting ready for a high society event!  It will be attending  The…

  • Moda All-Stars Mini Marvels

I owe you all at least 10 new posts and I haven’t forgotten about you.  I’m keeping a list of things to tell you so I don’t forget.  I’ve been working like crazy on new things for quilt market, and that’s why I’ve been so quiet. For now, I have to tell you about the Moda designers new book with Martingale!  It’s called “Moda All-Stars Mini Marvels” and it gets released today! Here’s my quilt called “A Pink Christmas”. If you love wool applique combined with fabric this mini quilt is fun to make. The instructions are in the book! We’ll have some books and kits for this little mini available in November.  I’ll…

  • 25% off sale

Escape from the daily madness and join me for our 25% off sale today through Sunday.  It’s my annual 4th of July sale and I’m having it early so I can celebrate the 4th in relative quiet. Everything on our website is 25% off and earlier this morning I saw this crazed mouse trying to find Bunny Hill!  I tried to tell him to go to our website, not to my house. If you haven’t purchased this Spooky Halloween pattern yet, now’s the time to do it.  If you feel like you can’t take on the entire quilt, there are 30 wonderful 6″ blocks that you can use for individual projects. By the time we have…

The Splendid Sampler Block 25 Welcome to Bunny Hill and block #25 of The Splendid Sampler!  If you’re joining me today, we are officially 1/4 of the way through this beautiful quilt! Can you believe it?  If for any reason you haven’t started this sampler quilt yet, there’s still plenty of time!  If you haven’t even heard about it, you can find the story here. It should come as no surprise that the Bunny Hill block would feature a bunny!  Sometimes I just can’t help myself. :) Moda sent me this assortment of beautiful fabrics to use for my block and I loved them from the minute I opened the package. The brown stripe became the bunny and Sunday…

  • Fat Quarter Shop Designer Mystery 2016

Fat Quarter Shop 2016 Designer Mystery Block of the Month My friend Kimberly, at the Fat Quarter Shop has been doing a Designer Mystery Block of the Month every year since 2011!  I think I’ve had the honor of being in at least half of them! Kim chooses a fabric collection and then invites designers to join her in designing a mystery block.  The result is fun, and always something new! For 2016 she’s picked one of my favorite Moda fabric lines, Little Miss Sunshine by Lella Boutique. Just look at this stack of blocks, can you see mine in that stack?   I forgot, this is a mystery so the blocks are…

  • If you’re in paducah

If you’re lucky enough to be at the Paducah Quit Show this week, be sure and look for a kitty named Noel. She’s sweet and cute as can be. Don’t worry, she’s not lost, she has a wonderful home. She belongs to Pam Seaberg who has captured her in thread and stitched her on a quilt. You’ll find Noel in the quilt exhibits at Paducah! I call Pam my friend because we met through this blog and Bunny Hill, but she’s more than a friend. She’s an artist I look up to and I think you will too when you see her work.  If you go, be sure and take pictures for us,…
