  • “I Love Candy” Moda Blog Hop

Hi everyone!   Welcome to the Moda Blog Hop and Bunny Hill.  When Chelsea heard this was about our hometown and Moda Candy she got so excited!   She begged me to let her show you around and there’s no keeping that dog out of things when she decides she wants in.  She’s been after the “Candy” I’ve had stashed for my giveaway ever since I brought it home.  Maybe she’ll forget the “Candy” if I let her show you around. We live in the San Francisco Bay area in a town called Discovery Bay.  No one really knows where Discovery Bay is except for the 13,000 that live here.   It’s…

  • Desperately seeking mouse

Chelsea’s Mouse Years ago I bought this little knit mouse when Martha Stewart had her website.  We’ve had it for years and it’s become Chelsea’s very favorite dog toy.  She adores this mouse and every time someone comes to visit she runs to grab it and show it off.  She carries it around with her, watches over it in her bed and generally treats it like her baby. So you know what’s coming…the mouse is missing.  We’ve looked everywhere, under beds, furniture, in the couches and chairs…we just can’t find it.  I’m afraid it may have been sucked up in the vacuum by accident.  I’m sending out a plea…does anyone…

  • My Marcel

Marcel…do you remember his story? I’ll never understand why he was at the vet’s office for so long without being adopted.  People coming and going every day and everyone passed him by for over 2 months.  They missed a real gem.  I’m so thankful my husband brought him home.   He came with imperfections that make me love him even more.  His fur separates where he had surgery after being hurt by the car fan.  You can see it in the picture above.  You only notice it when he lies on his side but there’s a big dent in his hip area you can feel when you pet him. He’s…

  • Mother’s Day is also for ducks!

In all the craziness around here getting ready for market Chelsea and I still manage to take our morning walk.  She loves it, I love it and today a little mother duck loved it! We live near a “wetland” area and Chelsea and I walk by it almost every day.  Today I noticed a duck in the street pacing back and forth by one of the street drains.  As I got closer I could hear her babies crying quacking and I realized they had fallen into the drain and the poor little mom was so stressed! I called my husband and the fire department.  I knew one of them would…

  • Marcel

I sent my husband to the vet to pick up medicine for Bitsy and look what he brought home… His name is Marcel… …and he’s 7 years old. His owner is in the hospital dying and Marcel needs a new home.  That’s all my husband had to hear… he brought Marcel home. He’s very sweet, a little shy and he’s spent the last month at the vet just waiting for the right person to want him.  My husband thinks it was meant to be and there’s no doubt in his mind that Marcel was waiting for us. Marcel’s had more than his share of hard times.  He once got caught…
