• Put 101 Maple Street on your calendar for August

Tomorrow (May 1)  is the last day to pre-order your 101 Maple Street quilt kit!  I have to get kit orders into Moda, and of course, I’ll order some extra, but there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to get one if you don’t pre-order. Join in the fun of making this quilt, and you’ll get to meet Quilly and her babies.  Quilly isn’t a name I pulled out of thin air, it’s actually the name of a real baby quail my mother rescued and nursed back to health.  I remember she loved to take dirt baths (Quilly not my mother). You’ll also meet Henrietta again, and this time she’s gathering pomegranates.  She’s…

  • Sugar Plum on Sale!

I sometimes don’t think about past fabric lines, until I run out of room in my storage closet.  When bolts start to stack up, I know something has to go to make room for the new.  Sorry my sweet Sugar Plum Christmas, but times up!  You’ve got to go.  Sugar Plum Christmas is on sale big time! I made up more of my Gingerbread 1/2 yd bundles and added them to the sale, but remember, once these are gone they aren’t coming back.  I’ve used the last of the gingerbread snowflake fabric to make these bundles. Yes, even my favorite fabric in the line is on sale!  These little guys…

  • 101 Maple Street

Blend shades of persimmon, bronze, charcoal, and gold, then mix with cream and aqua and you’ll have Fall fabrics Bunny Hill style!  Welcome to 101 Maple Street! Mix them all up, add in some Moda basics and you’ve got 101 Maple Street my newest applique quilt! We got the advance yardage about 3 weeks ago from Moda, and my helpers were ready.  We had all the freezer paper templates cut ahead of time so we could start the applique prep right away.  The quilt just left Bunny Hill yesterday and should arrive at the quilter today!  101 Maple Street is scheduled to go to Quilt Market with me in Portland…

  • Peeps help me design

Yesterday my husband bought me my favorite Easter treat!  PEEPS!  Two packages of yellow chicks.  I consumed one box right away, I just couldn’t help myself.  I’m trying to have control with the other package, make myself eat only one at a time, ok two at a time, but at least sit down at my desk and eat them slowly.  It’s really tough!  I love these little things, and I only get them once a year!  The thing no one knows is that Peeps actually help me design!  They’re my comfort candy.  And I’ve been doing a LOT of designing.  It’s a good thing the stores are filled with Peeps!  …

  • cottontail cottage part 3

Cottontail Cottage, Part Three There are so many fun fabrics in Cottontail Cottage, and these tiny checks are just a few of them. They come in six colors and are printed on the bias, making those quilt bindings simple to cut. You’ll get that bias look without the excess yardage. We’ll be making fat quarter and half-yard bundles of these checks as soon as the fabric arrives in January. Or, maybe you’d prefer a combination of florals and checks. The Cottontail Cottage floral is one of my favorite fabrics in the line. Just look at it next to the checks! I can picture my grand-daughters Lily & Maya wearing dresses made…

  • Cottontail Cottage part two

New fabric, patterns, and kits are coming soon!  I’m in fat quarter heaven here in my studio, surrounded by bunnies, bird nests, cottage houses, garden flowers, checks, and dots!  And to think these fabrics all come together to make up this new spring quilt called Cottontail Cottage! Moda is making kits for this quilt, some shops will be offering laser cut blocks, and others will have it as a block of the month.  Whatever suits your fancy!  Cottontail Cottage is the perfect way to start 2018!  The fabric ships in January.   I’ll be back next week to show you our new mini quilts made from Cottontail Cottage.  Hope to…
