• This baby…

…has made me realize that the world through the eyes of a 1 year old is an amazing place! The squeals of delight when she saw her first balloon were the same as someone who just won the lottery!   Oh my gosh it’s fun to watch a 1 year old… …and catch the wonder of an early morning moment in the studio. We have a “splash pad” at the park near our house and Lily just loves it.  Yes, the water’s cold but she doesn’t mind. Splash pads are great fun. You step on the center of the large blue circle (photo below)  to start the water flow.  Water…

  • Kansas City Quilt Market

I’m home and it feels so good.  Kansas City was a wonderful host but there’s no place like home.   We spent 6 days in the Kansas City Convention Center in downtown Kansas City and I feel like I only know a teeny bit!  It’s huge and goes on for several blocks. The downtown area is surrounded by tall buildings with many styles of architecture. Of course the old buildings are always my favorite. Sample Spree at any quilt market is a shopping frenzy.  People line up hours in advance to get in.  This was only the start of the line and it went on forever!  Quilter’s can shop like no…

  • Going to market

Lily the Elephant and Gerry Giraffe are going to Quilt market in Kansas City!  They’ll be at Sample Spree on Thursday night waiting for new homes.  The fabric of course is Windsor Lane! Gerry & Lily are new petite patterns. I thought maybe I could get the patterns on the website before market but I’ve run out of time.  I’ll list all the new patterns right after I get back.  I’ll have lots of market pictures to share too!  Wish you could all come with me. Have a great week everyone!  I’ll be back next week. Hugs, Anne

  • Mother’s Day is also for ducks!

In all the craziness around here getting ready for market Chelsea and I still manage to take our morning walk.  She loves it, I love it and today a little mother duck loved it! We live near a “wetland” area and Chelsea and I walk by it almost every day.  Today I noticed a duck in the street pacing back and forth by one of the street drains.  As I got closer I could hear her babies crying quacking and I realized they had fallen into the drain and the poor little mom was so stressed! I called my husband and the fire department.  I knew one of them would…

  • What’s cooking at Bunny Hill?

Moda’s introducing something new with my Windsor Lane fabric line…Junior Jelly Rolls!  They are just the cutest, little, petite, baby Jelly Rolls ever.  They’re half the size of a regular Jelly Roll and half the price too!  I took a minute from sewing today to take a picture of “Junior” for you.  There I was in the front yard with my little pink cake stand, a pink Junior Jelly Roll, bench, camera and tripod, oblivious to the fact that my image was reflecting in the cake stand in every photo.  Photographer extraordinaire, that’s me.   It’s just been one of those days.  LOL! What else is cooking at Bunny Hill? …

  • Mollie Makes, Jeanne d’ Arc and Redwork Kits

Right in the middle of all the crazy sewing going on in the studio, Mollie Makes issue #13 and Jeanne d’ Arc Living May arrived! There’s always some excitement when that happens but when they both arrive on the same day it’s really hard to get any  work done. Mollie Makes… Just look at buttons on the cover of Mollie Makes!  Little red rose buttons that will be the perfect accent for a sewing project.  I don’t know how they think of what to include for cover projects but I sure do love them! And the little pooches on the cover are so cute. Have any of you tried needlefelting? …
