• Lily’s at Grandma’s!

One thing for sure, it’s all about baby at Bunny Hill!  As I look around there are baby things everywhere.  Amazing how these tiny little beings bring such life to a family!  Just look at her, isn’t she precious? To say I’m having fun with my granddaughter would be an understatement. At 3 months old she has my heart forever.  I wish the smiles, cooing, and blowing bubbles could go on forever. Lily is here until October.  She’ll be going on some trips with mom and dad and staying at Grandma’s house in-between trips.  I’m in heaven!  She’s my new Bunny Hill Baby!  Wonder what I can dream up for…

  • Tomorrow is Miss Lily Day!

This box is sitting in middle of my table.  Can you guess what this means?  Miss Lily, my new granddaughter arrives from Germany tomorrow!  Yeah!!!! I want to parade around singing I’m so excited! Because she’s so little she gets the bassinet seat on Lufthansa!  It’s reserved for little ones like her so she can lay down and sleep.  Kind of like flying first class! It’s the first time I’ll be able to hold her!  She’ll be using her new US passport and I hope Customs welcomes her with open arms and gets her through quickly!  Keep your fingers crossed that she gets a “welcome to the US Miss Lilly”!…

  • We’ve Been Making Bundles!

We’ve spent the week making little fabric bundles of Lily & Will.  I’m getting ready for new fabric to arrive and some just has to go because I’m running out of room!  Perfect little stash builders…can I tempt you? Oh my these are hard to part with!  Something about a “bundle” that makes me so happy!  You’ll find these little bundles here on my website.  I’ve got a basket filled with these just waiting to leave the studio! I’ve also put some quilts on my website to sell…something I’ve never done before.  NO, they’re not my applique block of the months… I’m saving those for I’d be in trouble with…

  • Primitive? Me?

I just received my second issue of Primitive Quilts.    Have you seen this new magazine yet?  It’s put together by a group of really creative ladies and I do mean creative.  It’s so well done I find that I’m enjoying the magazine a lot.  I signed up for a 2 year subscription! If you border between “Prim” and traditional style you’ll enjoy this new magazine.  To tell the truth I think there’s room for a bit of prim in a shabby chic home. The last few quilt markets I’ve found myself in the booths selling wool and Valdani Pearl Cotton.  I’ve always been a fan of wool and well that…

  • About 60 miles down the road

Jump in the car, drive about 60 miles down the road and you’ll  get the concept of how far the tornado took Jeaneane’s quilt.  Judging by what that tornado did to her house the chances of a quilt making it that far in one piece must be a million to one! Jeaneane’s mother-in-law was 91 when she made these quilt blocks.  She made some of the blocks upside down so she never finished the quilt, she just put the blocks in a box.  When Jeaneane found the box there were only19 blocks, so she had the  20th block embroidered with information about her mother in law. I know Jeaneane’s story…

  • Little Miracles

Little miracles happen when we least expect them… Let me tell you about my new friend Jeaneane.  I met her just after the Joplin tornado hit when a friend of Jeaneane’s emailed me to ask for a favor;  Jeaneane lost almost everything in the tornado, including her computer with all the Snowbound and Tisket A Tasket blocks she had saved.  Her friend asked if I could email her the blocks again so she could give them to Jeaneane.  I sent them off and soon Jeaneane herself emailed me a big thank you and our friendship began. Jeaneane is a quilter just like you and me. She and her husband lost…
