Moda Love Blog Tour, Bunny Hill Day!
Welcome to Bunny Hill Day on the Moda Love Blog Tour! We’re talking about things we love today and I’m posting along with Deb Strain and Kansas Troubles !
I know many of you haven’t seen it yet, so I’m sharing my latest love from Moda, Mistletoe Lane. It’s my newest fabric line that’s due to ship to stores in January!
I love that I design for Moda and get to create such fun fabrics! Mistletoe Lane includes a special “tag” panel that I designed for my Mistletoe Lane advent quilt. Stitch up the tags and they fit in the pockets on the quilt. There’s even a pocket on the panel, for the back of the quilt. The pocket will hold the tags when they’re not in use.
I love that I can design a goose named “Cinnamon” and make her the star of the Mistletoe Lane quilt! She’s one happy goose, and you can even make “Cinnamon” ornaments to match your quilt! She’s my newest petite pattern coming in November!
I love that I can take a Mini Charm pack of Mistletoe Lane and use the Moda Love pattern to make a mini version of the quilt!
Here’s the basic pattern that makes a Layer Cake, Charm Pack or Mini-Charm Pack quilt.
Since Mini quilts are so popular now, I’m into making minis!
I took the Moda Love Pattern, used a Mini Charm of Mistletoe Lane, cut a 3 1/2″ square for the center, and then added a 1″ finished border.
Here’s my block (notice that it has pink, my favorite color in it):
Then I just couldn’t help myself since I’m in LOVE with any kind of applique! I added some wool applique to the block:
You could also make a mini charm block quilt and put wool stars in the centers. Oh if I just had more time! If you’d like the bunny pattern I’ve included it below!
If I had to choose just one pre-cut as my favorite, I’d pick the fat quarter bundle. Leave me a comment telling me what your favorite pre-cut is, and you could win a Mistletoe Lane Jelly Roll. I’ll be giving one away on Saturday, September 13th!
It’s going to be a great weekend for some of you because every designer on this blog hop has a giveaway! It’s Moda Love from the Moda designers!
You’ll find a list with all the blog hop designers here. Be sure and leave a comment on all the blogs. You can’t win if you don’t comment and someone out there is going to be very happy!
Happy blog hopping!
Anne

My favorite precut would have to be the fat quarter bundle, but mostly due to cost, the precut I use most often is the charm pack. Oh the possibilities of a fat quarter bundle! The multiple projects! Your new Mistletoe Lane will be a lovely start to the new year. Love those pinks!
Marlene
My favorite is layer cakes and jelly rolls. Thanks for the chance to win.

Love, love, love your new line and what you made with the MODA LOVE pattern. You are a wonderful inspiration.

The first quilt block I ever pieced was a Christmas block. I love Christmas fabrics and decorate for the holidays using the items I have made over the years.

Hi. Love your version of the Moda Love quilt. Love your fabrics. Made a friend a baby quilt from Windsor Lane line..so soft and delicate. If I had to pick….I’m torn between fat quarters and layer cakes for my favorite precut.
Nicole
I love Layer Cakes. Your new fabric is beautiful!
Susan
I love fat quarter bundles too. More fabric is always better than less fabric and they are so versatile. Thanks for the giveaway. Love your new fabric line.

I love fat quarter bundles best too (as evidenced by the closet in my sewing room). It is so fun to untie the ribbon when I start to make a project.

My favorite pre-cut would be Layer Cake. So many possibilities with 10″ squares!
Lin S
Love jelly rolls and layer cakes.
Rebecca
My favorite precut is also the fat quarter bundle – because there’s more fabric! I love your new collection of fabrics and thanks for the quilt and bunny pattern!
Linda
I’m in love with Cinnamon Goose, she is adorable. My favorite precut would have to be jelly rolls. Right now I’m working on a project using layer cakes and there is a but more waste than I prefer, probably should have picked a different pattern. I haven’t tried candy squares yet but they are really sweet.

I have always loved your designs, and especially your “bunnies.” I also love precuts, and would choose the fq bundle if I was picking one.
Thanks.

I love all of the pre cuts. But my new favorites are the mini charms. Thanks for a chance to win your Mistletoe Lane fabric.

I would say the fat quarter bundle is my favourite as it is like a greedy layer cake. Mmmmmmm cake!

Layer cakes are the best because the pieces are bigger!

Your love for designing really comes out in your fabric and patterns. I especially LOVE the label fabric – how Special!! My favorite pre-cut it a Fat Quarter (or even larger 1 yd. ones offered now). I love the jelly rolls for bindings – makes life so much easier. Thank you for this lovely giveaway chance!

I love jelly rolls, so I’d love to win yours. Great colors.

I just love this new line … and that goose! I agree that the fat quarter bundle gives you the most choices, but there’s just something so appealing about jelly rolls and layer cakes!
Thank you for the opportunity!
Susan
I have always leaned towards layer cakes for the most part, but I do like them all. They are great for people with hand problems (I have tendonitis) and they are great to save time with cutting! Thanks for the chance to win some lovely fabrics!
wendy
I love the fat quarters, they’re so versatile
Pam

I also love the fat quarter bundle—it doesn’t limit you like jelly rolls or charm packs do. I love your new line! I’ve always enjoyed “countdown” calendars so this is right up my alley!

I love fat quarter bundles – all tied up so beautifully with a Moda bow – I keep all my Moda ties. What’s more, they look so attractive sitting on my shelves in my sewing room.
Linda
My favorite precut is the fat quarter bundle!! Love your new line!!

My favorite Moda precuts are the fat quarter bundles! If you are lucky, you get scraps from making a quilt so you can build your stash! Then making a scrap quilt is like a bonus! I also love your personal touches on your quilt, the bunny is adorable!

Most definitely my favorite precut is the fat quarter bundle!! You can easily get all the sizes from one. Love your stinkin’ cute little quilt! I thought I was lovin’ the one made with the layer cake that I have seen on other blogs, but then you had to go and add the applique!! Accck! it’s a perfect block to add cuteness to!!! Thanks, Anne!!
Joan
My favorite precut is jelly rolls!

My favorite precut is the layer cake, but I like fat quarters also.

My favorite precuts are charm squares, it is a very affordable way to get one piece of every fabric in a line. I am addicted to them! (but I also love jelly rolls, layer cakes and mini charms)
Toni Anne
Thanks for the bunny love pattern, the mini charm quilt would make a great pillow. My favorite precut is the fat quarter also, I love it that I always have just a bit left over. ;-> Happy hopping!
