My Summer House is Coming Soon!

My Summer House is my 26th line of Fabric for Moda, and I still can’t believe I’m a Moda designer.  Quick, pinch me so I’ll know I’m not dreaming because for this new fabric line, Moda has featured me on the cover of their catalog!  I’ve spent the last few months fixing up my garden so I could relax and enjoy it for this photo shoot.  I love to garden, so I can’t really call it work, but each and every flower got extra mulch, food, and tender loving care this year.  I’ve lugged watering cans filled with a fish emulsion mix, so every leaf would grow greener than before. And, because of our clay soil, I garden using a lot of containers, and almost every container is watered with a drip system.

So, let’s go out to my garden, find a comfortable chair in a shady spot, and let me introduce you to My Summer House!  With tiny little houses, crepe myrtle trees, assorted little floral prints, stripes, plaids, and polka dots, My Summer House is a carefree and playful fabric line.  It’s the perfect fabric line for summer quilts, pillows for that garden bench, table runners, napkins, and even placemats.   In shades of red, pink, grey, aqua, and cream, I hope you love My Summer House!

If you’re wondering who that beautiful young girl is holding our pillow, it’s my granddaughter Alyssa.  She’s also the hand model for my petite patterns.  She’s also one who loves to sew.

I’ll be showing you my patterns over the next week.  Get ready for some applique and piecing. I’ll meet you in the garden!
