Prairie Days is coming!
I’m a country girl at heart! How about you? If you’re a country lover too, say hello to Prairie Days, my newest fabric line for Moda! It’s filled with calicos, gingham checks, and pillow ticking. In red, white, and blue, it’s my tribute to the USA. These fabrics say “country,” and I hope you love them!
I describe this fabric as “happy” because that’s how it makes me feel! The colors are so pretty, and I’m still trying to choose my favorite print. Right now, I’m leaning toward the red and white floral, but by tomorrow it could be the little sheep on blue. Of course, I’m always partial to a ticking stripe, and this one is made up of hundreds of tiny little dots that give it a fresh, airy look. Humm, maybe that will soon be my favorite.
Prairie Days is also the name of my newest applique quilt, and Moda is offering one of their wonderful kits for this. It will come in a beautiful box, with everything you need for the quilt top, including the binding. The pattern and embroidery floss are also included. You just add the backing. The fabric ships in September, so you’ll have plenty of time to finish before July 4th comes around! We can watch the parade down Main Street together!
Here are a few of the blocks as we’ve been making them. Prairie Days is getting quilted right now, so I’ll be able to share more photos with you later.
Moda is ordering this fabric at the end of April, so quilt shops need to have their orders in very soon. If you’d like to pre-order a kit, check with your local shop to see if they are offering them. If you can’t find it locally, we’ll be taking pre-orders on our website through April 24th.
We’re also taking pre-orders for fat quarter bundles of Prairie Days. Pre-orders receive a discount from the regular price, and you can choose from two different payment options.
Horray for the red, white, and blue! Here’s the link to our website for pre-orders. I’ll be back soon to show you the rest of my patterns for Prairie Days.

You just can’t beat a good red, white, & blue. I love the little sheep with the flag draped on them. So sweet. Looking forward to seeing this line in the fabric stores!
