it’s sewcialities day at bunny hill!
Are you doing the Sewcialities quilt along with The Fat Quarter Shop? There are some great blocks in this sew-along, and even if you don’t participate in the sew-along, I recommend printing them out and saving them in a binder. You may want some of these in the future, and they come in 12″, 6″, and 3″ sizes. Sampler style quilts are fun to make.
I was having so much fun sewing away, I made this block in all three sizes, 12″, 6″, and 3″! The 6″ is always my preferred size block, but I’m also in love with the little 3″ size. My block is named “Peace,” and I think it fits. It’s so easy to make (beginner status), and I hope you love the results. I’ve used Three Sisters fabric for my pink & white version and Crystal Lane for my blue & white version.
There’s more contrast between the two fabrics with the blue & white version, so you’ll get more of a pinwheel or windmill look. The pink version is softer with a more overall “shabby” look. I love them both!
You can find the instructions for this block on The Fat Quarter Shop Jolly Jabber Blog. They have several sew-along quilts going, so scroll down and look for #17 Peace Block. Have fun sewing and be sure and post your completed blocks on Instagram or Facebook using #sewcialitesqal
Happy sewing!

So sweet!

These blocks are both really sweet…I love both color combos. I also like making 3″ blocks, they whip up so fast, make use of precious scraps, and are so eye catching.
