Applique All Day with The Fat Quarter Shop!
The best way to learn how to applique is to start with an easy block and jump right in! The Fat Quarter Shop’s made that “sew” easy for you! They carry all the applique tools, Aurifil 80wt. applique thread and of course hundreds of fabrics to choose from. Today you’ll find block six from the Applique All Day Series, exclusively on The Jolly Jabber blog! The Applique All Day blocks are a series of little 6″ blocks I designed using assorted fabrics and different methods of applique. If you’ve missed any of them you can still get the patterns for free on The Jolly Jabber Blog.
Today’s Jolly Jabber blog post features block number 6, the final block in this series. It’s a house and who doesn’t love a house block?! There are so many things you can do with this block; choose your favorite fabric and repeat this block in assorted fabrics, or use it as the center of a pillow, turn 3 of these blocks into a table runner…
In case you missed the other 5 blocks, you’ll find those on the Jolly Jabber too!
Instead of a house quilt, maybe you’d prefer a teapot and cupcake quilt? Wouldn’t these make a cute quilt? It’s Applique All Day at The Fat Quarter Shop! Have fun!

Anne, I’ve been collecting these darling blocks since you started this series. I can’t wait to start working on them…just never enough time to make all the pretty blocks I want. I love them all but for me, making the house blocks is always a treat, I think because my mom loved them so much and they remind me of her. Thank you again for sharing your delightful designs.
