Love those weekends
I had a great weekend, how about you? Did you get some time to yourself to do a few of those things on your list? Have you started Christmas shopping yet?
I’ve been neglecting my house for two months while I’ve worked on new patterns, so this weekend it got some well needed TLC. Who knew cleaning up and putting things away could feel so good?
I bought these wire baskets at Garnet Hill and I’m using them to store my wools. I like to see everything I have so these baskets are perfect! See the pastel wool bundles in the picture below? I bought those bundles at Holly Hill last week…hand dyed by Debbie Busby of Wooden Spool Designs. I fell in love with the soft colors of blue, pink and grey…wish I had bought more!
And now that my house is back in order I can move onto so many other things waiting for me…
Remember the story I told you about Jeaneane? Some of you sent in blocks for her and I haven’t forgotten about them. They are tucked safely in a drawer just waiting to be mailed to her. If you’d like to make her a block you still have time. Make a 8″ or 12″ block and send it my way. Your name will be entered in a drawing to win a great prize from Bunny Hill and Jeaneane will have quilt blocks to play with! I’ll be showing you some of the blocks I’ve received over the next few weeks and I’ll do the prize drawing on December 10th. Jeaneane will have the blocks by Christmas.
Next I’ll give you some sneak peeks of a new pattern I have coming in December called Raining Cats and Dogs in Redwork. I’ve been waiting for the Moda redwork fabric to arrive and keeping my fingers crossed that it arrives soon so I can start sewing the quilt together. I don’t often get to show you a work in progress so this should be fun!
Hugs to all of my blog readers! You are the best!
Anne

Oh Anne, I love your yummy wool bundles… I recently ordered from Garnet Hill… a person could get into a lot of trouble there! I love all of your photos from Holly Hill! Their displays are gorgeous… and the next time I’m in Portland I plan on stopping there for sure. I love reading Brians blog… so funny. I finally have embarked on the applique journey… and feel confident to try one of your “A” patterns. I love the one with the pull toys…. I’m going to be a g-ma for the first time and I think that one would be wonderful to start with. xxoo

Remember, Holly Hill is just a phone call away if you decide you want more of that wool! ;0 I hate having a disheveled house….I can’t find anything when it’s like that! My house has been ignored for 2 weeks…time to get cracking around here. Christmas sewing is ALMOST done…almost. ;0
I bet you miss Lily…and her loving parents. You’ll have to find out about Skype. :p

Hi Anne, that wool sure looks yummy!! I had a fun day…..when the cat is away the mouse will play. He is back on Wednesday and today I played. I had a sew day with my friend Christa…..she brought lots she could have worked on, but we made blocks and more blocks and she is coming back tomorrow and we are going to make more blocks…blocks for Jeaneane. We shopped in the morning, came home for lunch and sewed on blocks all afternoon, had dinner and she left about 8 o’clock and she said she had a ‘great day’ when she left. She is a great friend. hugs Pauline
