Halloween & Fall,  Quilts

Henrietta’s Big Party!

Can you believe this is the final block for Henrietta Whiskers?   Henrietta’s excited and a little bit nervous too.  It’s not everyday that a little squirrel gets to meet so many people!  I don’t think either of us ever imagined she would be so popular. I’m giving you block nine and the final quilt a day in advance!  If you’re spending this holiday weekend sewing,  you might have time to finish the quilt and have it ready to hang for Fall!

Henrietta Whiskers Block Nine

Henrietta’s busy catching stars and Sophie’s helping!

And now that you’re finishing up your quilt (you are finishing aren’t you?) you’re probably wondering what I’ve done to that top and bottom strip!  I’ve had your trust all year and you’ve followed me blindly so to speak, so I’m excited to finally show you the entire quilt.  Click on the photo and it will enlarge it.

You’ll find the pattern for block nine along with the finishing instructions, by clicking on the free tab at the top of my blog.

…As We Come to the end of My Henrietta Block of the Month…

…I’ve been struggling trying to find a balance in my life between designing fabric, patterns, quilt markets, family, pets, traveling and oh yes, I forgot me!  Block of the month quilts take so much time to create and I know  you understand how crazy life can get.  I’ve made the difficult decision that Henrietta will be my last free block of the month. I know I’ll be disappointing many of you but I hope you’ll understand.  I have LOTS of fun things up my sleeve that I think you’ll enjoy so please don’t think the fun will end.  New surprises are in the planning stages!

New things added to my website!

You’ll find new floss and notions under “What’s New” on my website.  We are now carrying Cosmo Sparkles Floss and because we’ve gotten so many requests, for a limited time  I’ve  added Cosmo Seasons color #8041.  It’s in stock now and ready to ship!

and…Help me clean our our sample room!

We are filled to the brim and need to make room so you’ll find some great buys on samples and quilts from our patterns! I just listed more on my website.

Does it get any cuter than Bunny Hill Designs? Anytime I need a pick-me-up, I come to your website! The cupcake patterns are so cute – the banner is such a great idea for my little granddaughter Isabella who loves, loves, loves cupcakes!!

There is something wrong with the posts – on a couple of blogs, including this one, I try to comment on the fair post, but when I scroll up , it is like I am on the previous post! I tried again to comment on the correct post, but again, I am on the previous one.

What wonderful prizes – very generous of you. But we already know you are generous with your gorgeous patterns. I agree with Chelsea, she definitely needs a quilt designed after her.

  • Jan Mueller

I love seeing your dog Chelsea. We lost one exactly like her one year ago at age 11. Yours is a spitting image of our “Daisy”. I also love all your wonderful patterns and thanks for a chance at wining one of your “giveaways”,

So soft and pretty, pastels like pink are gentle and calming and perfectly lovely to use. Thank-you for the opportunity to! I love your work.

What inspires me most when making a quilt is the recipient. I find it very easy to finish a quilt meant for someone else. However, when it comes to making something for myself, I find it very easy to put it on the backburner….you know, that ever growing ufo pile.
Thanks for the giveaway fun and keep up the good work with your beautiful blog.

love the doggies! I have never heard of a dog that likes broccoli with butter, but that is really too cool. I love the cupcake banner too. Thanks for the chance to win.

Broccoli with butter? And I thought my cat was weird eating tossed salad. I’m anxious to begin work on Henrietta since I downloaded the blocks each month. This blog and website are among my favorites which I return to often because they make me smile. Anne’s creativity is boundless.

I just want to thank you for the beautiful patterns you have shared these past years! I didn’t make the snowman one–for I live in a very tropical area and we don’t have much snow here. But I have loved making ‘Tisket/Tasket’ and ‘Henrietta.’ Your patterns are really fun to make. I’ve made the “Baltimore Bunny’ and am working on “The Night Before Christmas”. I have the “Rabbits love Redwork” to do! Guess I am a true fan! Your little grand-daughter is precious! Being a grandma is the best job! Take time to enjoy the special role and the things that are special to you!! That way you will continue to love what you do!
