Have you seen this ad?
Have you seen this ad in the latest issue of McCall’s Magazine? It’s from Shabby Fabrics and it’s for my “Rabbits Prefer Chocolate” block of the month!
Jennifer at Shabby Fabrics used “Astor Manor” from Moda fabrics and remade this quilt. Her version looks so much like my original I just can’t believe it!
Many of you already made this quilt, but for those who missed it you have a second chance!
Here’s my original “Rabbits Prefer Chocolate”!
And here’s Jennifer’s!
I think it’s amazing that the fabrics match so well. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this done before. “Rabbits Prefer Chocolate”, revisited.
I leave for Germany tomorrow. Maybe I’ll find some more vintage chocolate molds!
Have a great week everyone!

I have had the pattern for some time, but just couldn’t seem to get started. I ordered from Shabby Fabrics after seeing your post and have everything in hand and ready to go. Every thing was packaged and labeled so clearly and all the fabrics are lovely. My first experience with Shabby Fabrics and it was delightful.

The quilt is beautiful! In BOTH renditions! I really wish I knew how to do applique (said in the most sorrowful tone ever…)
I think it’s so exciting that you are going to Germany! My brother went there while on a mission for our church for 2 years and he loved it there! I would love to go, with him as my tour guide.
Anyway, have fun and be safe!!

Wonderful quilt, and so amazing how closely the two versions match without being exact copies!
Have you visited http://www.WeAllSew.com yet to see what other folks are quilting up? It’s a great place to find other quilters and sewers on the web!

I’m working on this quilt as you speak. I am about half way finished- working slowly- started a few weeks ago. I purchased my kit from Shabby Fabrics. I think there are more differences then it seems- at least in my kit. I purchased my kit a couple of years ago from them. I do love the kit however and I am actually mixing some of my fabrics from my “baltimore bunnies” quilt that I have left over. I love this quilt and can’t wait to get it finished :)

Have fun at the wedding! My daughter was married twice, once in India and once in the states (oh, to the same guy…lol) and the family in India was so warm and welcoming and just thrilled she wanted to share their wedding with all of his family and that we went too…I know you’ll be the guests of honor…well except for the bride and groom of course!
