It’s finally a Quilt!

Snowmen are coming to town this holiday season!   It’s Snowbound time at Bunny Hill!  There’s nothing like finishing a quilt and being able to finally use it!  If you’ve joined me in making Snowbound, I hope you’ll enjoy yours as much as I’m enjoying mine!

I’ve gathered up a few of my favorite snowmen and Snowbound is hanging in my dining room for the holidays.  Come on in!

They key to a good display is to vary the height. You can easily create height with a few empty boxes, some scraps of your favorite quilting fabric, ribbon and pins.  You can reuse the fabric after Christmas so don’t worry about giving up your favorite fabric!  If you have a few cake stands, get them out.  If not, just use boxes!

Enlarge the photo below and you’ll see I’ve used tiny applique pins in place of tape to wrap the packages.  I pressed the fabric after it was on the box.

If you don’t have enough ribbon you can piece what you have with pins! No one will notice when your display is complete!

Of course I used my Lily & Will  fabric to wrap the boxes!

To complete the look I filled a vintage dough bowl on my dining room table with red Christmas balls and blue & ivory candles…

Even the little lamb on the hutch got a blue box to stand on!

Being Snowbound just doesn’t get any better!

Hurry and maybe you can finish your Snowbound quilt.  I can’t wait to see them all!  Email me photos or post your photos to my Flickr group!  Sharing is the most fun of all!

Hugs,

Anne

Snowbound Block Eight!

Block eight is here!   Another month has gone by and now Mr. August is arriving in a wagon.  As you can see my “Snowbound” is quilted and ready for Christmas!  Yours will be too in no time at all! I hope you’ve been working on your Irish Chain blocks and assembling your quilt by rows so you can see it coming together!

Tell me where the year has gone?  Did you notice it flying by?  Only four more snowbound blocks left, can you believe it?

We’ll be decorating for Christmas before you know it!

If you received my newsletter this morning you know it’s “I Love My Pet” month at Bunny Hill!  Email or send me a picture of your pet and you’ll be entered in the drawing to win this basket full of goodies!  Email your photos to info@bunnyhilldesigns.com .

Here at Bunny Hill we are surrounded by pets as most of you know!

Bitsy is back to normal, her stitches are healing fine, and she even wants to play.  But she still won’t walk.  It’s not that she can’t walk, she can walk just fine, she’s just refusing to.

Can you believe it?  Just look at this face!

Or this one with her ears up.

Can this be the face of a spoiled smart dog?

She has a stub of a tail that she wags at just the right moment.  She makes sure you’re looking first.

Chelsea’s getting worried that you might forget how “cute” she is with all this attention going to Bitsy.  She wanted a few of her pictures in the blog post

And Mooch?  She’s not worried a bit.  After all, she’s a cat!

So love your pet and show me how cute they are!  You might see them on my blog!  How fun is that?

And now for the next hint you’ve been waiting for…

Hints to help you guess my Fall Market Block of the month theme!

1.   Christmas with some pieced blocks

2.  A little bit of snow.  White snow NOT pink snow.

Have a great day everyone!

Back soon,

Hugs,

Anne

Happy 4th of July!

Surprise!  It’s July 4th and I’m in the mood to celebrate! Here’s block seven of  “Snowbound” a day early, just in case you have time to sew today in-between barbecues and fireworks!  Just click on “Free” on the top bar of my blog, scroll down the page and you’ll find the pattern!

My “Snowbound” quilt just came back from Lynne my quilter and it’s ready for the pretty red binding.  All of my embellishments were stitched on ahead of time so I could take photos, so Lynne had to quilt “around” them. This wasn’t easy and she went above and beyond for me.   She deserves extra applause!  Can’t wait to show you the finished quilt!  It’s such a happy one!

If you’re not signed up to receive my newsletter, here’s the latest news!  Bunny Hill is having a 25% off sale on my web site,  today through July 7th!  All you need to do is enter the code july sale in the coupon section on check out.  It’s that easy! We only do this sale twice a year so now’s the time to take advantage of it!

Let me know if you try TasteBook that I talked about in the newsletter !   It’s so much fun!  Maybe we can figure out how to share recipes with each other!  Be sure and try that Peach Cobbler recipe.  It’s so good and it’s the season for fresh peaches!  Perfect for the 4th!

I’ll be back with pictures from my trip to England and the Cotswalds.  It’s such a beautiful area!  I fell in love!

Have a wonderful 4th everyone!

Hugs,

Anne
