Stop by The Fat Quarter Shop’s Jolly Jabber blog this week and you’ll be in for a treat! Jolly Jabber is sponsoring the first ever Designer’s Mystery Blog Hop! 12 Moda designers (including me!) each designed a block for this amazing mystery quilt using Camille and Bonnie’s “Vintage Modern” fabric line from Moda. Here’s a sneak peek…
Don’t you just love the look? You’ll find this block of the month at The Fat Quarter Shop!
If you had to go into your closet and pick something that says “Vintage Modern” could you do it? Kimberly at The Fat Quarter Shop asked each of us to do just that! Now here’s where the fun starts… visit each designer’s blog this week and guess what they found (don’t worry you’ll get lots of clues), leave a comment on each blog guessing what it is and you’ll be entered to win a layer cake of each designer’s fabric! Visit the Jolly Jabber blog on the last day of the hop and the answers and winners will be revealed. Hey, maybe you’ll win a layer cake! You have 12 chances!
So, here we go, some clues to help you out!
You just might find a bit of ribbon trim on it…
Think I saw a couple of these on it…
And this little guy might have had a little something to do with it…
If these were blooming I wouldn’t be wearing it…
But it you saw this tree I might be…
So what do you think this is?
Oh come on, I’ve made it so easy for you! You just might have one of these in your closet too! I hear they’re coming back “in”. Vintage Modern for sure!
Leave a comment on this post telling me what you think this is, then visit these fabulous designers this week for more clues!

Hark! Your vintage modern could be a Christmas sweater! I’m ready for the season of blooming where they would not be seen! Enjoy!
I’m going to guess it’s a Christmas sweater – the kind you only ear during the Christmas holidays. Great clues. What fun!!!
Nothing better than a vintage Christmas sweater!
A Christmas sweater
I put lights and some old drop crystals from a broken lamp on mine to sparkle it up for a special sweater party this past season. What is old becomes new again! It’s a Christmas sweater.
A woolen Christmas sweater
I think it is a wool sweater!
An embelished Christmas sweater?
Got to be a Christmas sweater-once loved and now hated by many-
A tacky Christmas sweater!
I’m going to have to go with a woolen Christmas Sweater
A Christmas Sweater!
Yes, I have several in my closet. :-)
Cynthia
You have a nice Christmas sweater. We all had them, and yes, this picture brings back warm fuzzy memeories!
A Christmas Sweater!!
I think that is your “vintage” woolen holiday sweater! I use to have one of those until my daughter “helped” me clean out my closet and she tossed it! I kept telling her that what goes out of style comes back every 10 years or so. Didn’t matter to her she tossed it anyway.
A christmas sweater
I would say a wool Christmas sweater that is embellished.
Your item would be a wool christmas sweater, probably a cardigan (with the buttons), that has various designs, including Santa, on the front. Now commonly known by my daughter as an example of the type you wear to an “Ugly Christmas Sweater party”, thought I don’t have such a problem with them as she does.
A Christmas sweater featuring Santa, buttons (cardigan) and ribbon. I have one in my closet too!
A wooly Christmas sweater?
Looks just like a vintage Christmas Sweater!
This is a wool, probably, decorated, embellished Christmas sweater. You know the style – lots of ribbons, bows, bells, angora embroidery and cutsie do-dads. Yes, I do have one with cats in my drawer.
A Christmas sweater I think!
ugly/cherished christmas sweater?
It’s a christmas sweater!!! And as a teacher I am guilty of having one or two…
Its a Christmas sweater and I’m not ashamed to admit I’ve got more than one in my closet
Christmas Sweater :)
If it’s not a Christmas Sweater, then I’ll eat mine! I’ve been holding on to it for so many years because I just couldn’t part with the memories it invokes.
Thanks for the chance to win some of your wonderful fabric!
Well I’m going to shake things up. I think it’s a wool Christmas vest.
It’s wool, and it’s Christmas, so it’s got to be a Christmas sweater.
A Christmas sweater.
I love sweaters and there sure were a lot of Christmas sweaters around some years ago–my MIL has one or two or three :) Thanks for the chance to win!
Christmas sweater ? wow that was a lot of work :)
I’m guessing it’s a wool Christmas sweater. Did I guess right?
