My mommy made me dress up,
for Valentine’s day today.
I really didn’t want to,
but she made me anyway.
My tutu’s tight, the bows bug me,
and who knows about my crown,
I feel like a dog gone wrong
I may never live this down.
If Valentine’s Day was for the dogs,
I’d always get a treat,
and I wouldn’t have to dress up
or try and look so sweet.
But then I heard about my friends,
so at least I’m not alone,
their mommies made them dress up too,
I can almost hear them groan.
I don’t think I can stand here
much longer for today
so take a peek at Bella,
and maybe Gibby wants to play.
And then come back to visit,
or you’ll miss my treat today.
I put some things together,
for a special give away!
Just leave a comment and tell me,
that you think I’m really cute,
and maybe I will pick your name
on Wednesday for the loot!
And here’s the loot; one of you will win a box of See’s Candy (assorted yummy chocolates) along with a bundle of Moda Bella fat quarters, 16 total!
We’ll be back on Wednesday to announce a winner so you know what to do! Have a doggone good day everyone! Bella and Gibby are having a give away too!
Hugs,
Anne Chelsea

Very cute! Both the rhyme and the outfits! I love the ‘ankle’ bows!
You are all soooo cute, my blonde boy[lemon beagle] would have nothing to do with dressing up so I have to live through you all. Very sweet indeed.
Oh my goodness, Chelsea looks so cute and slim too in her new outfit. She is a very good sport to model so beautifully. Thanks for a chance to win chocolate and fabrics. Wow!!
I think that pink must be your color, you look so cute! Hope the elastic is not too tight, at least you are ready for some ballet lessons, might do the trick ;-). Keep getting treats and loose wait at the same time! Wouldn’t that be great?
Chelsea….you are too cute.
Just too cute!
Chelsea is adorable!! What a good sport she is too letting your dress her up and posing so pretty for the camera. Love it!!
Chelsea looks adorable. We were burried in snow yesterday, so seeing her picture was an enjoyable respite. We have a greyhound that wears pajamas at night so she will be warm and a coat when she goes out. She really does not like anything covering her ears and head. She shakes furiously to get it off. I don’t think she would have put up with this costume.
Love your website and animal tales.
Pat
Oh sweet sweet Chelsea…if only you could talk, lol.
Thanks for the lovely poem and a terrific giveaway.
Chelsea you are just too cute. The tutu and crown are adorable. You remind me so much of my granddog George, who is also a blond chihuahua.
Chelsea you look way too cute , I love the crown.
Can’t believe Chelsea stood still for the pics–she is oh, so cute!
Chelsea is definitly the cutest!
Prize or No Prize – Chelsea you are ADORABLE… and a real trooper… :)
OMG -Chelsea you are the cutest valentine ever! But seriously, you do not look too upset about your outfit. You are looking good girlfriend!!
xo
I think that is the cutie baby ,They are like our childen .
Chelsea you are so cute. I loved the bows especially and your poem was so wonderful. You are very multi-talented! Love your pictures.
The pink tutu is the best! Chelsea you are just too darn cute! I have to stop by this blog each day just to see what you and your furry friends are up to.
I don’t think that I have ever seen such a beautiful doggie. You are just the cutest!! Your mommy is very good to you and you are very good to sit for the photo shoot. I understand that that is a very difficult job. So, my pretty, please pick my name for one of the lovely gifts. Have a nice day!!
Chelsea is absolutely adorable!
Oh you are such a little cutie all dolled up like that. Sorry you don’t like it. I’d give you some hugs and kisses, and a doggie treat (just a little one – so your tutu doesn’t get tighter) for being such a good girl. As for the give away – I don’t know which is better, See’s Candy or the Moda fabric!
She is such a good puppy! There is no way my four legged one would tolerate that… so sweet. I would love to win, please enter me in the drawing although I don’t think Chelsea needs anyone else to tell her she is cute, she might be starting to get a swelled head. Then the crown won’t fit anymore!
Too funny. I enjoy making things for our puppy to dress up in too. She hates it as well. However, your dog looked so pink and valentiney…if that’s a word. Great costume and looking ever so doggie-dorable.

You are absolutely ADORABLE! But Chloe my best buddy would never stand for it! You made mom proud!
Wow, Chelsea! You look really cute! It always amazes us cats that you dogs put up with so much. If our lady even attempted something like that we’d quickly let her know what we thought of it. We have her trained enough not to try! GT and Jacki (ROTFL).
Chelsea, my cat is wearing something very similar, but does not allow pitures…
Bella, Bella dressed up for her fella,
Frillies and lace galore.
Gibby looks sad and borderline mad
This “love” thing can be such a bore!
But Chelsea, dear Chelsea,
Please say it ain’t so!
A queen supreme in her fine array
And absolutely NO WHERE TO GO!!! OH NO!!!
You are so adorable!
OHH you are too cute. You look like a sweet car hop or lady at the candy store. Such a little lady. :%)
My name is Ginger, and I’m a puppy, too! My mommy Amy was not permitted to doll me up – too much testosterone in the house from my Daddy and 2 brothers. You look adorable, and I respect you, girl! I love to sit on or near my mommy when she sews or embroiders. I’d love to make her sit still a long time working with those fat quarters!
Poor Bella…. always something isn’t it! She does look cute! Patient…. but cute! She is probably wondering what she gets out of all of this?
Hope it was a wonderful day for you all. I was sick at home! Bleahhhh! Oh well life goes on….
Take care.
I must still be sick… I called Chelsea, Bella…. sorry… probably because I’m intending to hop over to see Bella and Gibby too. My dog is probably thinking that she is glad that we don’t do this to her! Although she does put up with a lot when the grandkids come!
SO ADORABLE!! I wish I had a pet that would put up with being dressed up. There would be a swat – with claws – from my cat, and the dog I had as a kid would just shake everything off. Oh well, your pictures fit the bill!!
OOoohhh what a sweet fur baby you have,to let you dress her like that!!
I have just started quilting so thank you for the opportunity to build up my sash of must haves! :):)
Hi Chelsea; you really don’t need anything to make you cute, you are a jewel naturally. My human dresses me up too, but I think I am adorable. I am an English Bulldog named Murphy and I love Chihuahuas; especially you Chelsea. You should fly out here to Michigan and visit me; I will share all my toys with you and take you out for a candlelight dinner; driven by my human chauffeur. I will give you flowers and jewelery as you are a very beautiful girl and should have all the finer things. Your human is a very generous and talented mom like mine. I will remain your faithful servant my love; Murphy and his mom Merrie:)
LOVE the look……annoyed!!! LOL My chihuahua doesn’t look like that…..soooo adorable, even with the tutu!!!
Now Chelsea is one cute Valentine!!! I love animals; but hubby doesn’t want one, so I have to enjoy other people’s and my 2 granddogs….a shizhu and a boxer.
Just adorable! Crown is superb but the skirt is a little short.
Well, Chelsea, all I can say is that you have the patience of a saint. ;) You do make a darling little Valentine though. I hope making everyone smile was worth dressing up like Cupid.
Love the skirt…too cute!
You are such a good sport Chelsea. My Dolly would have run around until she got everything off. And the men in my household would have had something to say, too.
how cute!!!!!!
OMG: that’s the cutest doggie I’ve EVER seen!!! Can I haz it? ^_^
How adorable! I would love to win! :)
That is the cuter photo I’ve seen in awhile. My two dogs would never let me do that!! Of course, one’s too heavy and one knows what is going on!! I’m jealous! Seriously, I’m so jealous!!!!
Chelsea, you are really, really cute! Maggie the YorkiePoo loves to dress up, too.
That is just too cute! Someone has lots of talent.
Cute! I would never dress my doggies like that, but I have to see she is cute!!
Donna
Who says “looks don’t count”? All three look great; Chelsea, Bella and Gibby all have their own blog spots and deserve every treat they get for Valentine’s Day celebrations! Dogs rule, cats drool! (And I have 2 cats).
Too cute! All the photos are great! I don’t know how you choose which one is cutest.
