• Three Days in Paris

3 days in Paris, 3 whole days!  We walked along the River Seine starting at Notre Dame during a Sunday morning service and ending our walk near the Eiffel Tower.  It was a day of Paris heaven! The weather was beautiful and the scenes so French! We took our time and  enjoyed  every minute.  Can you imagine living in apartments that overlook the river?  There were so many of them, dressed in their beautiful shades of ivory, with gray roofs.  Oh Paris, you really are a beautiful city!   We saw a huge group of people on a sponsored “walk”.  We never figured out what the walk was for, but it was still…

  • Welcome Elke!

Please welcome Elke to our family!   Thank you Elke for saying “yes” to my son.  You are a ray of sunshine in his life, and we are so blessed to have you as a part of our family! You make us smile and laugh!  Our lives are better because of you! The wedding was a fairy tale wedding that took place in Konstanz, Germany.  The day was perfect from start to finish! And thank you Switzerland and Germany for your hospitality and breathtakingly beautiful country! I could have stayed for days and days.  Our charming hotel was across the border in Switzerland!  Only about 1/4 of a mile from the German border, but I can say I’ve been to Switzerland!   …

  • Crochet Strips

I brought my crochet I started awhile ago to Minneapolis and finished the first strip on the airplane!   By now, I’m on my way back from Germany and I brought it along again.  After 11 hours on a plane both coming and going,  I should have a bit more finished.  I’m not crazy about how it’s looking, but it keeps me occupied and the actual process of crocheting is so much fun! If you remember, I made a mistake in the second color.  So many of you were kind enough to help me through it so I ripped out the rows, went back and corrected it.  I’m not sure if…

  • What’s up with Stuffing?

Did you know not all stuffing is the same?  I’m not talking about your grandmother’s Thanksgiving stuffing, but the stuffing you buy to make dolls, toys, pillows etc.  That little white polyester fiber can make a big difference in how your project looks.  And  no one ever seems to talk about things like stuffing.  So while I’m in Paris, I thought I could jabber away here about stuffing.  I’ll be drinking Perrier and you’ll be reading about stuffing.  Please don’t delete my blog from your reading list! Here’s the real truth about stuffing.  There’s a big difference between the stuffing you pick up at the discount store and the stuffing…

  • Behind the Scenes

Have you ever wondered what goes on behind a photo shoot?  You see the finished pictures, but there are probably hundreds that you don’t get to see.  Just to come up with a few photos that end up on the cover of our patterns, web site or in our ads, can take 1 to 2 days of shooting and well over 500 photographs.  Add a baby to the picture and you can imagine what might happen! Meet Bren, our Bunny Hill Baby model.  She is too adorable for words with a personality that just makes you smile!  I fell in love with this little girl and her 5 week old…

  • Oh Baby you’re so sophisticated!

I’ve been talking about it for weeks, you’ve seen the patterns by now, and I’ve even given some fabric away.  But have you seen it close-up?  Every single fabric?  It’s such a treat to have my name on this selvage! I’m in love with twins, can you imagine?  Lily & Will have been taking up most of the Bunny Hill studio for quite awhile.  Finally, here they are right out of the Moda catalog! Introducing Lily & Will Luscious pinks for Lily, beautiful blues for Will, and the prettiest green ever for those of us who love green! Combine these with creams and browns and think of the things you…
