Fun with Moda
Moda has two fun things happening this year that you might not know about yet. First is a year of contests called “12 Designers, 12 Months, 12 contests”. If you put all the prizes you could win from entering these contests together, you’d need a truck to carry it all! Each of the participating designers have a contest for you to enter. Each contest is different, so you never know what’s coming, but they do have one thing in common, prizes, prizes, prizes! Here’s the list of participating designers: French General: January Sweetwater: February Me & My Sister Designs: March Fig Tree & Co.: April Bunny Hill Designs:…

Twinkle Toes
Have you seen the newest girl’s quilt at Bunny Hill? I’ve named it Twinkle Toes and it’s from my new fabric line Lily & Will Revisited. The idea for Twinkle Toes started the day my grand-daughter Alyssa came running up to my studio to show me her new pointe shoes. She could hardly wait to put them on! She’d worked so hard and waited so long to get these shoes. The shoes were magical and her excitement was contagious! I’d been working on quilt ideas for my Lily & Will Revisited fabric line, and watching Alyssa dance around my studio in those shoes, put the idea of a ballet quilt in my head! I went…

In My Studio Now
I have some of my favorite fabrics on my studio shelves now. They are calling my name, waiting for samples to be made. It’s Lily & Will Revisited in pink, gray and Bunny Hill Blue. Pretty in pink, Beautiful in blue, Elegant in gray, Put them all together and it’s a Lily & Will Revisited Bundle! I feel like I should order bolts for my own personal stash building, because this fabric won’t come again. What if I decide several years from now, I need to make curtains from this beautiful gray Cottontail Toile? Or, maybe a duvet cover from this Cottontail Toile? And a dust ruffle from this beautiful stripe? Did…

Each time I think of the special ladies who worked on this quilt I realize what a special place in my heart they each hold. As I prepare to leave for Quilt Market this year, I’m reminded that I’ll be seeing some of them very soon. I want to scoop them up into a huge group hug! If you don’t remember hearing about this Merci La Vie quilt, you can read about it on my blog here. This special quilt is currently at the American Cancer Society getting ready for a high society event! It will be attending The…

how to make a ruffled table runner
How to Make a Ruffled Table Runner I’m celebrating the month of May and all that it brings to each of us, with a new free pattern from Bunny Hill! I’ll show you how easy it is to make a reversible table runner with a beautiful ruffle on each end. Simplicity is what I’ve named the pattern because it really is simplicity at its best. Just think of all the fabrics you can use to make this, season after season! I’ve used Brenda Riddle’s gorgeous floral and check linen and I love the way it turned out. With floral linen on one side, and a check linen on the other, I’ll have both a…

snow happy hearts for April
Can you believe we are 1/3 rd of the way through Snow Happy Hearts? It surprised me too! I’m thrilled how much some of you are enjoying these hearts. There’s some really creative ones showing up in my Facebook Snow Happy Hearts group. Hopefully, you’ve been keeping up with these little patterns. If you’re not planning on making them right away, make sure that you print off the patterns each month to save for the future. If you missed the sneak peek in my newsletter yesterday, here’s a picture of what’s coming from Bunny Hill. Kindred Spirits is in the studio, and we’re working like crazy to get everything made and patterns done. …
