• How many people does it take to make a quilt?

In the case of Raining Cats & Dogs it took 13 people to finally get the pattern ready to ship!  I’m sending BIG hugs and a thank you to everyone who helped me with this quilt: To my husband who’s spent days listening to me go on and on about how it might never get done, to Lissa at Moda who worked miracles in getting me fabric, to Lisa who spent hours helping me with all the graphics, to Anne, Dee, Tina, Sandy, Melissa, and Pauline who helped with the sewing, applique and embroidery in record time, to Lynne who worked wonders with her fabulous quilting, to Florence who’s spent…

  • Gaby’s Quilt

I received the sweetest email today from a girl named Gaby…her mom made her a quilt and she wanted to share a photo with me!   Gaby and her mom picked out my Cream and Sugar pattern.  (Gaby if you’re reading this I’m so honored that you chose my pattern!) Just look at Gaby’s quilt! Isn’t it cute? All the sweet little touches Gaby’s mom added make it really special… …and now Gaby has a quilt that she says goes perfectly with her room. Gaby said that she originally wanted her quilt in the same colors as mine, but her mom talked her into looking at a black and white…

  • Just a few squirrely friends

We all have a few squirrely friends don’t we?  Ha!  Right now all my friends are wondering if I consider them squirrely.  The dictionary defines squirrely (yes it’s slang) as being eccentric, flighty and maybe a bit odd. Think about this…Henrietta doesn’t see a thing wrong with being squirrely.  Most of her friends are squirrely and so this month I’m giving a new meaning to the word! squir-rel-y: -adjective, fun loving and full of joy.  Able to leap tall pumpkins in a single bound.   The perfect friend. Block Six:  Henrietta’s Squirrely Friends   We’re 2/3rds through the quilt with this block not counting the border…have you been keeping up? …

  • Nighty Night in the Bunny Hill Booth

A sea of white and gray that goes forever.  Sounds beautiful doesn’t it?  Dream away because arrival at the convention center is never a pretty sight. The sea of white…polyester curtains.  The sea of gray…steel poles.  Then someone throws in some purple carpet. Sometimes I arrive with a plan for the booth but not this time.  We had extra help from Pauline and Pam who I met through blogging! They worked so hard to help us figure out what to do.  They held quilts as I stood back and gave the thumbs up or down.  They went up and down that ladder too many times to count and we were…

  • Henrietta is Back!

It’s March 5th can you believe it?  Henrietta’s back in block number 3 of my Henrietta Whiskers mystery quilt.  She’s been working away to entice you to join us!  How can you resist those little acorns in her cart?  I can’t wait to show you how she looks when she’s quilted!  She left for the quilter yesterday and she’ll be home before too long.  I’ll update you with the photos of the quilted blocks as soon as I have them! The fabric for Henrietta, Lilac Hill and Antique Fair should be in quilt shops soon, if not already!  I know it seems like it’s taking forever, but at least you’ve…
