• Quiltaid USA

One person can make a difference in the world.  I believe that.  It becomes easier to make that difference if you join people together as a group.   And when that group is made up of quilters need I say more? Please join me, 11 other designers, 6 shops,  Moda Fabrics, and Presencia Threads  as we come together for charity.  If you haven’t heard about Quiltaid USA, you’ll be hearing about it soon. Maybe you saw this ad in American Patchwork and Quilting last month? The theme:  From Heart to Home.  Moda provided the fabric and Presencia provided the pearl cotton for embroidery.  The 12 designers (6 Australian and 6…

  • Fall Quilt Market

The only thing I don’t like about Fall market is the timing.  It always seems to fall over Halloween and many of us don’t get to see our kids or grand-kids dressed in all their glory.  Of course at Moda they try and make us feel like family, so we had some trick or treating going on right at market! Debbie, (chief of all things patterns) was so cute.  There I was telling her how I’d have everything ready early for spring market and she just cracked up laughing! She threatens me every year because I’m late getting things to her, but even dressed up like a witch she’s really…

Happy Tuesday…

  • What’s on the back of your quilt?

Do you remember this photo?  Many of you were trying to figure out how I was going to use the alphabet panel you see in the background in my quilt.  Just so happens this panel comes in red, blue and gray. I fell in love with the red and here’s what I did with it! It’s been stitched into the back of my quilt The Night Before Christmas! You can have a panel on your quilt too! You’ll have to buy a panel of course and some fabric to go around it.  Choose your favorite color!  I’ve included instructions and measurements inside the pattern as an option! While I was…
