A Blog Hop is Coming!
Guess what’s coming up? It’s a Moda Blog Hop and the Moda designers have been playing around with blocks again! You know what that means? You’re going to get block patterns galore, freebies and chances to win prizes. The blog hop starts on September 4th. You’ll find the list of designers at the end of this post. Postcard Cuties for Winter Kits We’ve shipped all our pre-orders for Postcard Cuties for Winter and we have a few extra kits left over. This quilt is a fun one to make. Little Updates
Celebration I just realized my Celebration fabric is arriving in a week. It’s time to make room for it, so be sure and check the “sale” section of my website to see what we’re clearing out. Through the Woods “Through the Woods at Christmas” wool applique kits are back in stock. If you’ve already purchased this kit, it should have arrived in your mail box this week. As soon as you stitch it up and frame it, here’s an idea: Hang it in front of a vintage window. (This vintage window just happens to be on the wall in my studio right next to my computer, so all it took…

Quilt Market Week
If Quilt Market could have its own week, this is it! When I think of quilters from all over the US and international countries, arriving in Portland this week, it’s mind-boggling. Oh how I wish I could take each and every one of you to quilt market. The excitement is building throughout the week with classes and sample spree. Friday is opening day! If you can’t come to market, follow along on Jolly Jabber ( the Fat quarter Shop blog) or, on the Fat quarter Shop’s Facebook page. You’ll get market updates throughout each day and get all the news as it happens. Molly “Molly” horse, my newest petite pattern,…

We have two winners!
Apparently a lot of you liked the pink bowls! They are really pretty, I agree, and I’m excited to be giving them away. Some of you sent me emails because you couldn’t find where to leave a comment, but don’t worry, I assigned each of you a number and added you to the total. Winner #1 1st winner from the Random Number Generator, is Diane, #165 who said: May 7, 2013 at 7:53 pm “Rose is my name and one of my favorite flowers! And PINK is my favorite color! Pick me! Pick me!” Diane, there must be something lucky about the last name Rose! Hope your garden is full…

Working on “new”
I’m having so much fun working on my newest block of the month. I’m mixing the new “Vin du Jour” from Three Sisters with some French General Favorites. They are getting along wonderfully! I can’t wait to show you my quilt! Just a few more weeks and it will be off to the quilter. I’ll take some sneak peek photos before it leaves. Yesterday we cleaned our storage room and pulled out fabrics we totally forgot we had. You’ll find them in the sale section on my website at 50% off. These are fabrics left from quilts and kits. You may find something you still need to make one of…

I wish this were mine
My friend Nancy (she does most of the piecing for Bunny Hill) brought over her Dear Jane quilt this week to share with us. She’s an excellent quilter so we knew we were in for a treat. It took her a little over 4 years to complete all the blocks and assemble the quilt. She sent the quilt to Ohio to be hand quilted by an Amish quilter, and she just got it back last weekend. The quilt has over 200 blocks and each block is quilted with a different pattern. I could look at this quilt for days and never see enough. These photos can’t begin to capture its…
