• Don’t you love weekends?

I love weekends, and I love them even more when I don’t have plans.  I spent Saturday working in the studio and watching my favorite TV shows.  I’m working on my next block of the month and I’ll give you a little hint;  it’s a Christmas quilt.  Ahhh, you may think you have ENOUGH Christmas quilts.  I’m here to say this is not possible and I hope I can entice you into more applique.   There’s another little critter I love to draw almost as much as a bunny.   I’ve kept it a secret for a long time and I hope I see some smiles when you see it!  :>)  I love Christmas and…

  • Stumbling Blocks

Life has a way of throwing in a few stumbling blocks every now and then just to see if we can get past them.  This past week has been so chaotic I’m here to report I’m not doing very well.  I’m falling over blocks! My old dog, Bitsy hurt her back leg.   She was walking outside and suddenly jumped in pain.  She’s been to the vet, had x-rays, medication and they think she pulled something.  Nothing shows on the x-ray, but she still won’t walk. Instead, she barks for me to carry her everywhere.  Bark, I want to go outside,  I’m thirsty, I’d like a treat, can you fix me dinner? She seems perfectly happy, and even wants to play with her toys.  If…

  • Giving away some fabric!

I’m giving away some fabric today!  I tired to get the “girls” to co-operate with the drawing!  First Mooch came up… Then Chelsea & Bitsy… It was so early they just wanted to go back to bed.  Not early risers at all but aren’t they cute?  So off I went to Random.org and generated some numbers!  Here we go are you ready? #318,  Laura T!  Laura the blue is coming your way for those two new grand-babies!  Both boys!!! #21 Donna L in Florida who wants the pink!  Donna, you’ll be seeing lots of pink very soon! #13 Sherri, who said the green was her favorite!  Sherri, that yummy green…

  • It’s beginning To Look A Lot Like Market!

I’m getting so excited!  I think this quilt market is going to be one of the best ever.  More and more exciting things are starting to appear on blogs, web sites and ads. New designers are attending market for the very first time, and so many creative ideas are filling the quilting world.  This means great products for all of you!  International Quilt Market, Spring 2010 is going to be so much fun!  New and fresh products, fabrics,  ideas and patterns are just around the corner for all of us! I leave in just 10 days and it’s looking like a bit of chaos at my house right now.  It…

  • Countdown with a little help from my best friends!

It’s countdown week at Bunny Hill.   Everything that we’ve been working on for the past six months has to be pulled together for market.   We’re getting ready for a photo shoot this week, booth poles have to be ordered, things come out of the garage for shipping, patterns have to be finished, barcodes assigned, and there’s printing to be done.   To say it is hectic is an understatement.  I have lists and more lists. It’s to the point where I can’t find my lists. Last minute sewing is still being done and we’re getting ready to graph out our booth.  Oh baby it’s crazy here!    In the middle of all this insanity my pets are the…

  • Cat Photos

If you have a cat, chances are you have some great cat photos.  Cats are naturally curious, sleep most of the time, and are easy to photograph.  Case in point…Mooch… Mooch loves the backyard.  She goes out on a leash.   She thinks she’s a dog, so it’s very appropriate. This picture was taken with my IPhone… And this one?  I have no idea how I did this…double exposure? And if you stop by Bunny Hill for a visit, chances are you’ll never see our twins…Topsy & Turvy They are rescue cats and very, very shy. Topsy… Turvy… And another rescue we named Lucky, appropriate name… He came to us during a storm;  wet and obviously starving… If…
