• Snowbound in June?

    These are such happy little snowmen!  I think they’re having a party!  Why a party?  Well, we’re 1/2 way through our quilt, AND in some areas of the US it’s still been snowing!  Snow means happy snowmen no doubt about it. It snowed in Oregon while we were at market, and when we flew home over Denver we saw tons of white, beautiful snow.  It’s June and somewhere it’s still snowing.  I can tell just from looking at these little guys.   • Fresh Eggs?

    So here’s some egg  trivia for you!  How do you tell if the eggs in your refrigerator are fresh? Take the simple water test! 1.  Put the egg in a bowl with room temperature water.  Fill with enough water to cover the egg. 2.  If the egg sinks and rests horizontally, it’s very fresh.  If the larger end of the egg starts to rise, your egg is about one to two weeks old.  Still ok to eat. 3.  If the egg floats, throw it out!  It’s a “bad egg” so to speak. These are Farm Fresh eggs that I know are about two weeks old.  I was wondering if they were ok…

    Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Darlene over at SewCalGal, for hosting the first annual Golden Quilter Awards.  To all of you who voted for me, thank you, thank you!  I’m totally blushing when I say this, because it seems I won the SewCalGal award for best designer!  With so many great designers who were nominated I am truly humbled by this award.
