• Halloween could be spooky cute this year!

Happy end of September, and welcome to October!   Spooky Halloween Finally, we’ve made Spooky Halloween available in PDF downloadable format!  This pattern from Bunny Hill combines piecing and applique, and it’s so much fun to make! It’s a quilt your family will enjoy year after year! The featured fabric is Spooky Delights from Bunny Hill and Moda Fabrics. Spooky Delights fabrics have been out for a while and are getting harder to find, but we’ve included a color fabric guide, making it easy to substitute fabrics.  Take your fabric guide to the quilt shop and search for Halloween fabrics in similar colors and “look.”  If you’re a Halloween lover, chances are…

  • Pumpkin Hill

October is the month for squirrels and pumpkins, and Bunny Hill is filled with them. From Squirrelly Girl to my newest Martingale book, Pumpkin Hill, the squirrel overload is real! Pumpkin Hill, my first book with Martingale Publishing, is available at quilt shops and book stores now.  With running squirrels, a pumpkin coach, acorns, and all things fall, Pumpkin Hill is a whimsical quilt to enjoy every season. The design is timeless, and the fabrics are easy to replicate. Martingale has created a book that’s as cute as the quilt.  Page after page is filled with colorful photos and delightful artwork.  The pattern page is a pull-out with full-size drawings.…

  • more new patterns

It’s show-and-tell for Squirrelly Girl.  She’s excited to show you some of her squirrelly friends!  We’ve got four more patterns coming soon. Sugar Squirrels If I had to pick a fat quarter quilt to love, it would be this one.  I’m calling this Sugar Squirrels, and I’ve adapted it from my Sugar Bunnies quilt pattern.  If you love Autumn quilts, add this one to your list.  You can make the bias vines quickly with a 1/4″ bias maker, the applique is simple, and the star blocks are easy to piece. Need I say more?   Acorn Soup I love charm pack quilts and I designed Acorn Soup to use a…

  • Squirrelly Girl is coming soon!

While we’re hibernating in our homes, Squirrelly Girl has been out visiting everyone she can!  Our Moda reps may not be able to bring her to quilt shops in person, but they are doing their best to make sure everyone meets her.  She’s coming your way in August. Over the next few posts, I’ll be introducing you to her.  She’s been featured both in fabric and in my newest applique quilt!  I really hope it doesn’t go to her head (she’s a feisty one)!           We’ll be taking pre-orders for this Moda quilt kit in April, but please call your local quilt shop to ask if…

  • Let’s Make 101 Maple Street!

I was visiting Lori Holt’s blog and saw how she walks you through each of her quilt blocks.  It really seems helpful and I’m not sure why I never thought of doing this myself.  I’ve put it in my memory banks for my next block of the month. Right now I’m waiting on fabric to arrive for my next market line and I have some down time in-between projects.  I thought I’d give you some tips and pointers on 101 Maple Street.  If you’re making 101 Maple Street as a block of the month from a quilt shop, your life is going to be easy!  Each month the shop will hand you the fabrics you…
