Close to Home in 2014
It’s amazing to me how life works. A choice I made last year, affects things in a much bigger way than I could have imagined. All of a sudden I stand back and say “now I see, I was supposed to be here”. I decided in September that I would stay closer to home in 2014. The next quilt market is in Pittsburgh in May, and for the first time in my career I’ve decided to sit one out. Weekend Summer Fun, Sewing of Course!
I spent last weekend sewing with friends, and oh my gosh we had fun. I think everyone should plan a retreat at home. Just think, send your husband and kids away for the weekend (mine husband happily went camping) and invite some friends over for sewing, all weekend long. Use whatever space you have even if it’s the kitchen table. Sewing together is what makes it fun! I got to sew on a Juki 2010 Q and fell in love. We made memories to last a lifetime and it was so good to get away. Now that I’m back, we’ve decided to celebrate the 4th of July early this year! If you’ve signed up for our newsletter you’ll wake up to find it in your mail box tomorrow (Sunday), along with a coupon code for 25% off everything on our website for 3 days! Our sale only happens twice a year. We’ve added some new things just in…

Home again
Quilt Market was wonderful. My booth was part of what Moda calls ” The Designer Studio”. Many of the Moda designers shared space, making up 2 long rows of booth space with no walls in-between. Being surround by my favorite Moda designers was so much fun and we had a great time. Here’s a photo of one side of the Designer Studio. Barb and Mary have a great blog post showing all the Moda designers at market. Thank goodness Barb and Mary thought to take the photos of everyone. Moda’s Designer Studio ended up winning a ribbon for Best Merchandising! And when I came home guess who came along…

Then click on this link and leave a comment on her blog so she knows you came by. You could win a pink “Baby Cakes” kit and pattern from Bunny Hill! Baby Cakes is one of my favorites because it’s so…
