• I have a new family!

It’s possible to have two families and be very, very happy!  I have two families and I can’t stop smiling!  When I saw this ad in “Quilter’s Newsletter Magazine”  I started that “pinch me now” thing I have going.  I’ll never get used to the excitement of joining the wonderful  Moda family!  I’m keeping the ad around so that when my “first” family gives me trouble I can hold it up and threaten to go live with my “second” family.   There must be a little space in that huge Moda warehouse of fabric I could “room” in.  Or, maybe I could live in the room of vintage textiles I’ve heard about.    One can…

It’s June 1st and I can hardly believe it!  I leave for Germany next week for my son’s wedding!  In just seven more days I’ll be on my first trip to Europe.  I just couldn’t be more excited!  When I think of all the things I need to get done before I leave it’s a little overwhelming, but it’s like that before any trip don’t you think?  I have lists of things to take care of before I leave, and getting on that airplane will seem so unreal to me!  I’ve never been to Europe so I have no idea what to expect! Bunny Hill will still be open, orders…

  • A Messy Business

This neat little stack of fabric… Has become this… My studio is a disaster.  There are fabric scraps all over, pieces on the floor, freezer paper rolls, pins and markers everywhere.  Believe it or not this is what I call designing.  It’s a state of controlled chaos.  I do it all at once; picking fabric, drawing the designs, writing the pattern, prepping the appliqué, choosing embellishments, and on and on.  Really, sometimes I think I’m nuts. The good news is this… By the time this little mess gets into your hands it will look a whole lot better and I’ll have a clean studio. Today I’m going to watch Julia…
