A Messy Business
This neat little stack of fabric… Has become this… My studio is a disaster. There are fabric scraps all over, pieces on the floor, freezer paper rolls, pins and markers everywhere. Believe it or not this is what I call designing. It’s a state of controlled chaos. I do it all at once; picking fabric, drawing the designs, writing the pattern, prepping the appliqué, choosing embellishments, and on and on. Really, sometimes I think I’m nuts. My Funny Valentine
My mommy made me dress up, for Valentine’s day today. I really didn’t want to, but she made me anyway. My tutu’s tight, the bows bug me, and who knows about my crown, I feel like a dog gone wrong I may never live this down. If Valentine’s Day was for the dogs, I’d always get a treat, and I wouldn’t have to dress up or try and look so sweet. Post update: Everyone is asking about Chelsea’s big weigh-in. She gained 2 ounces, hubby got the lecture, and Chelsea was all happy because she got attention from everyone at the vet. She was supposed to have lost 4 ounces. I would have settled for her staying the same! I’m taking her Valentine dog treats back to the store. The Weigh-In
The weigh-in is tomorrow. No, not for me, for her… Chelsea has a weigh-in at the vet tomorrow, and we start preparing for it a week in advance. It’s kind of like Weight Watchers. You know the weigh-in is coming, so you cut back for a few days. I hope the bow doesn’t add ounces to the scale. She’s wearing it, because who can resist a plump Chihuahua in a bow? Helps hide the rolls around the collar. I can tell she hasn’t lost any weight. She feels heavy when I pick her up, and well, she looks heavy too.
