Let’s make this!
The angels are here, and the countdown to Christmas officially begins at Bunny Hill! Our Christmas fabric, I Believe in Angels, has shipped, and I hope you are ready for some fun! Just look at these prints! Don’t you feel like Christmas will be sweet this year? I’m ready for a few Christmas angels in my life, and I hope you are too!
One of my favorite quilts from this line is the one with the same name as the fabric, I Believe in Angels. It’s a quilt that makes me smile and brings joy to my heart. Here’s a little behind-the-scenes story: As I worked through the design of this quilt, I pinned my drawings on my design wall, so I could visualize the quilt. I was stuck on block nine and couldn’t think of what to do. Well, it just so happens that my kids came by right around that time, and I put them to work brainstorming with me. Finally, my granddaughter Michaela suggested that maybe an angel swinging from a star would be cute, and block nine fell into place!
Each one of the blocks in this quilt would make cute pillows or table toppers. Can’t you see block five as a Christmas pillow on one of your chairs? You could embellish with a little bead or pearl at the tip of each heart and add a ribbon on the bird’s neck. A button would be cute in the center of the poinsettia flower (in the finished quilt, we’ve added French knots to the center). What a nice gift for someone special!
Block three would be cute framed or made into a mini quilt. Be sure and have some candy canes in a jar close by. You might start craving them!
How to find “I Believe in Angels.”
Block of the Month:
Jennifer at Shabby Fabrics is taking sign-ups for a laser-cut version of I Believe in Angels. It’s perfect for those new to applique or in love with fusible applique. She’ll be starting her program in October, but you need to sign up now, or you’ll miss out. She’ll have a Facebook group you can join to work together on this quilt, and she’ll guide you through each block with you-tube videos. She also has a thread kit and a floss kit available. And don’t forget to order the snow angel backing fabric!

Make Your Own Kit:
The backing fabric is sold separately as an add-on. How can you resist these little snow angels?
Moda Blockheads 4
For those of you who are following along with Moda’s Blockheads 4, I’ll be back later this week to catch you up on my blocks. I’m still making them but had to set them aside to help cut Angel kits. Blockheads 4 coming up next!

Aren’t these prints adorable! I love your quilt, too. You always have your special signature on your designs, and what fun to get help from Michaela on block nine.
