BH4, Blocks 9, 10 & 11

It’s a three-block day at Bunny Hill! I’m catching up and sharing my last three Block Heads blocks in one post, and I might have a little surprise for you at the end of this post.

Moda Block Heads 4 is the first Block Heads sew along I’ve done, and it’s been a sweet one for me. I love stitching up all these different blocks! It’s become my Saturday afternoon “me” time. I hope those of you making this quilt are enjoying it as much as I am.

With each block photo, I’m trying to include something special. It might be a flower from my garden or a trinket in my studio. Sometimes you may see a special ribbon or a few vintage buttons I’ve collected. Some of you asked about the little wool pin-cushion in the Cross My Heart photo. This was a gift from my Houston friend Julie, so I don’t have a pattern. However, it’s a favorite of mine, and I’d love to have a whole shelf of vintage spool pin-cushions! I’ll see if I can get more information for you from Julie.

If you’ve made it through this post, you’re in luck! Let’s do a giveaway of a few bundles of The Flower Farm fabric. You could win either a Fat Quarter Bundle or a Fat Eighth bundle! That’s right, I have one fat quarter bundle and two fat eighth bundles, so I’ll be choosing three winners! I can’t believe it’s Friday already, can you?  It’s time to pick the winners of The Flower Farm fabrics!  I read through all of your comments, and most of you agree that it’s hard to keep motivated in a sew-along until completion.  Life gets in the way, you run out of time, you don’t know what fabric to use, etc.   I think we can all relate!  The hardest thing to do is to choose the fabrics.  For those of you who are struggling, I suggest starting with a fat quarter bundle, a fat eighth bundle, or a layer cake of a line you love.  You can always add to it, but you’ll know the fabrics work together, and you’ll have lights, mediums, and darks in your quilt.  So having said that, here are the three lucky winners:

F8th bundle goes to Terri W:  “I’m great at planning quilts, buying the fabrics (my own take on the originals!), and having everything I need to finish. I lose my “sewing mojo” sometimes after that point!! I like the short-lived sew-alongs that designers at Fort Worth fabric shop and others do (those I can finish up)”
