101 Maple Street, The Book!
I feel like a celebrity today. I just got my advance copy from Martingale of the new book I’ve done with them, 101 Maple Street! That’s right, 101 Maple Street is now in book format, and it is beautiful! No one does books like Martingale Publishing, and I am so proud to be a Martingale Author.
I love how they made each block into a “chapter” of the book. So much better than saying block one, block two, etc., don’t you think?
Here’s chapter 4: Out for a walk.
I know many of you are saying to yourselves, “I can’t find the fabric anymore,” so you have to get creative. Why not try the 3 Sisters line from Moda called Sanctuary? Here’s what a block might look like:
You can still find this beautiful fabric at quilt shops, and I’d start with a fat quarter bundle. Add additional fabric as you need it. When you start with a bundle, you know all the fabrics are going to coordinate. You can mix and match along the way and watch your quilt come to life as you work through the blocks.
If you haven’t made this quilt yet, now just might be the time! It has a full-size pull-out pattern page at the back of the book and applique tips at the start. Available June 1st!

I love that 101Maple Street is brought back in a beautiful book. The Sanctuary fabric will be a great choice too! Congratulations.

Congratulations on this beautiful book, Anne! I agree about the chapters rather than blocks, very sweet. I imagine each illustration will be a small work of art, as your packaged patterns are. This is what I especially love about your patterns :)

I am a person who loves close up pictures of blocks. It really is our art. This book looks gorgeous. I can’t wait to see it in person. Congratulations!
