Pumpkin Hill
October is the month for squirrels and pumpkins, and Bunny Hill is filled with them. From Squirrelly Girl to my newest Martingale book, Pumpkin Hill, the squirrel overload is real!
Pumpkin Hill, my first book with Martingale Publishing, is available at quilt shops and book stores now. With running squirrels, a pumpkin coach, acorns, and all things fall, Pumpkin Hill is a whimsical quilt to enjoy every season. The design is timeless, and the fabrics are easy to replicate.
Martingale has created a book that’s as cute as the quilt. Page after page is filled with colorful photos and delightful artwork. The pattern page is a pull-out with full-size drawings.
The original Pumpkin Hill quilt used fabrics from Fig Tree Quilts and a few basics from Moda. Here’s the good news… Fig Tree still designs fabric in the same colorways and style. If you use the Materials List inside the book, it should be easy to collect some of the newer Fig Tree fabrics. I suggest trying “All Hallow’s Eve” by Fig Tree, combined with a few of my “Squirrelly Girl” fabrics.
If you’re trying to find the flower buttons I used on the coach wheels, you can find them on Etsy and other sites by doing a search for “Dill Flower Buttons”. They come in so many colors, it might be hard to choose.
You could win a copy of my Pumpkin Hill book because I’m giving away 3 copies. Just leave a comment on this blog post and I’ll announce the winners tomorrow afternoon (Saturday) right here on this post.
OK, everyone! We have some winners! I’m going to give away FOUR copies of Pumpkin Hill. Ready?

Fall – pumpkins, squirrels gathering their winter stash, crunching acorns on walks, summer birds leaving & those up North coming to stay, corn stalks & straw bales with pumpkins & gourds decorating homes & of course leaf collecting, cooler nights even when the day has been warm. That should be the definition of fall. If you aren’t able to get the whole quilt done any block could be a little project.

So glad you finally did a book! I learned your appliqué technique making your Easter Jubilee BOM quilt several years back! Look forward to seeing this one!
