Mix it Up with Martingale and Moda!
It’s time for another Moda All-Stars book! This time we’re sewing with Moda Cake Mixes and Cupcake Mixes! It doesn’t get any sweeter than this! I love sewing with these papers because they ensure you’ll have perfect piecing. Just look at all the triangles and corners on the cover of the book! Perfection!
We usually stick to our own fabric lines for these designs, but this time we had free rein! For me, this was a chance for shopping heaven! I selected one of my favorite lines called “Return To Winter’s Lane” by Kate and Birdie.
Here’s my “Frosty Days” quilt you’ll find on page 55 of “Mix it Up.”
Here’s Sweetwater’s quilt called “Half and Half.”
And here’s “Picnic” by Laurie Simpson.
Using Moda’s Cake Mix papers is so much fun. You’ll find directions for how to use them in the book, along with some adorable quilts! Of course, I’m going to give away one of these books! Just leave me a comment telling me if you’ve ever tried Moda’s Cake Mix or Cupcake papers! Martingale is going to send one of you an E-book too! We’ll have 2 winners!
Martingale is doing another giveaway on their blog today! Don’t miss it! Here’s the link: Martingale Stitch This Blog
I’ll pick two of you very soon and maybe you’ll win over on the Martingale blog. It’s a good day for giveaways!

UPDATE: We have two winners!
Winner of the book, Karen S, who wrote: Gorgeous quilts! Haven’t tried the papers, even though I have one of the Cupcake papers. I’m feeling a little timid about it. Maybe I need to just give it a go!
Winner of the Martingale E-book, Susan R, who wrote: I have purchased these “papers” but have not used them as of yet. Now, I’m excited to try them out. Love the quilts and thanks for the chance to win a lovely book!
Thank you, ladies, for your comments! I hope you love this book!

I have some cake mix papers but haven’t tried them yet. Hoping to use them on a holiday quilt. The book looks great.
