My Redwork Garden
Welcome to My Redwork Garden, my newest fabric line for Moda It’s one of my favorite fabric lines I’ve designed. I had so much fun working with this fabric I could have kept going and going! As it turns out we have 9 new patterns coming your way and I had to stop because I ran out of time.
My newest block of the month quilt My Redwork Garden is a sampler quilt that is so much fun to make! With pieced, applique, and embroidered blocks there’s something for everyone.
You’ll meet Millicent Mouse in three of the embroidered blocks. Inspired by an antique 1927 children’s book she’s a “girly” mouse who loves to garden. These little embroideries would be so cute framed, and if you know someone who also likes to garden, you might want to make extra for a gift.
For some fun, I’ve added a running stitch around some of the appliques, and I’ve used a lighter color Bella as a background, to create a fresh country look. You’ll find lots of little treats as you work on these blocks. Some blocks are sure to become your favorites!
Shops will be offering this as a block of the month, and others as a kit. Moda is making the kits, so you know they’ll be beautiful. I encourage you to purchase a kit from your local shop or sign up to do it as a block of the month. If you find they won’t be offering it, you can pre-order a kit on our website through May 1st.
Hop on over to my website for a preview of what’s to come or to pre-order this kit. I’ll be back to share more patterns soon!
