Make a List for 2018!

Chelsea and I each made a bucket list back in 2011, and I found a copy of it today.  Six years later and we haven’t completed much on our list.  Chelsea’s still waiting for her pink convertible, and I’m still trying to organize my photos.

The beautiful thing about this list is that it’s New Year’s Eve and we have another full year to complete it!  I told her I think we need to review and set more realistic goals for 2018.  She keeps reminding me that she’s getting older and wants to update her list with things like a fluffy new bed.

She’s been lounging around today watching me fill up my market basket with goodies to give away tomorrow.

The basket is bursting at the seams, and I can hardly lift it!  I’ve been collecting things all year, and there are 12 bags of treats inside!  We’re going to pick 12 winners tomorrow, and each one is going to get a treat bag!

All you have to do to win is leave me a comment telling me if you’ve ever done a bucket list.  Do you think it’s a good idea to do a yearly bucket list?  One that you can review at the end of each year to see how much you’ve accomplished? Do you have any other ideas for organizing in 2018?

Chelsea and I will be back tomorrow with a list of 12 winners.

Happy New Year’s Eve!

I have not made a bucket list, unless you consider To-Do lists, bucket lists. I made a list of projects to complete. Rabbits Prefer Chocolate and Merry, Merry Snowmen were on it. If they were the only two, I would have been 60% successful. Rabbits is done, quilted and hung up for a few months. Yippee for me. And Merry has all the background blocks pieced and all the fusing done. 5 blocks are buttonhole stitched and waiting on the extra embroidery. I think that counts as 60% don’t you. Tell Chelsea, we love her and her Bucket List. Happy New Year to all of you, that includes the new kitties. Keep the inspirations coming.

I don’t usually make resolutions or have a bucket list – too much pressure! I do, however, try to find joy in small things and try to be content with what I have. Doing a small act of kindness to make someone else’s day a bit better is time well spent and a day well done!

I do make bucket lists–I have the longer term bucket list–that includes things like see Andrea Bocelli (did that in 2017)and where I might travel, and also the annual bucket list that includes getting in better shape, being more organized and deciding on how many read books to shoot for, and how many quilts to complete.  Hope you have a happy New Year!
