Christmas & Winter,  Pets

Almost Christmas

Can you believe Christmas 2017 is almost here?  I’ve done some simple decorating in my studio this year consisting of one little ruler tree.  :>)  Simple, yes, but isn’t it perfect for a sewing studio?  The tree is only 13″ from top to bottom.

There’s a reason my decorating is so simple this year…

His name’s Sylvester.

It’s his first Christmas, and he’s fascinated with everything!

He’s sure I’ve done this just for him.

Can you imagine Christmas through the eyes of an 8-month-old kitten?

One thing for sure…those eyes won’t be on any vintage mercury glass ornaments this year…

If he can see it with his eyes, his paws are sure to follow.  The only thing to guarantee broken ornaments would be to add a skinny gray kitten named Tweety to the mix.  I can’t be that crazy, can I?

You may have noticed we’ve updated our look.  We’re still finding things to fix, so if you find something missing, or something you don’t like, let me know.  We’ll be working behind the scenes for awhile.

Darling little tree!  I would be wary of bringing out the precious decorations too, with a kitten in the house.  Good, solid little wood tree, that’s the way to go :)  Merry Christmas, Anne!

I love your new kitties! Their names are so cute – as are they. We added two black kittens to our household in November. Their names are Klaus and Magnus. Our decorating is light this year too. We have a 3’ tree with cheap plastic ornaments and a naked but lit 6’ tree with 4 ornaments on the top. So far so good on no tree climbing. I’m sure if there were ornaments we’d be telling a different story. There has been rolling in the tree skirt and biting the branches.

That ruler tree is fabulous. I may have to steal the idea.Sylvester and Tweety are adorable. For us, of our two 7 1/2 year old kitties Samantha  would sit under the tree and be happy while Dainty would climb it before we even have it fully upright. So, no tree at all. Enjoy the season and your two cuties.
