Stocking treats block eleven
Block eleven was designed by our third place winner from the Bunny Hill/ Moda design contest, Lori Weigel! This cute little snowman, reaching for a Christmas ornament, won her third place. And of course, her win gave all of us a chance to make this adorable block!
Here’s block eleven in my Sugar Plum Christmas fabric…
Here’s Lori’s original block that she submitted for the contest…
I love how she’s used my ornament fabric to fussy cut her ornament. Choose your favorite ornament, and you can do the same thing! Or, if you’re using a different material just use a tiny print for your ornament.
We’ve added Lori’s snowman block to the quilt, but today I have another surprise for you! Lori submitted another block for the contest!
It was almost impossible for me to choose between blocks and I fell equally in love with both of them. When I asked her if I could include her second block as an extra pattern, she said yes! So, today you’re getting an extra treat! It’s Lori’s chocolate lab Mrs. Bean, who turns 12 next month (that makes Mrs. Bean a Libra right along with me and Milkshake who turns 14 on October 7). Here’s Lori’s puppy block:
And here’s the pattern so you can make the puppy too!
Thank you, Lori, for both of these darling blocks!
Happy stitching everyone! How will you decide what block to use?
I’ll be back next Friday with the final block and our finishing instructions.
Hugs,
Anne

Thank you so much for all these beautiful blocks. I never did applique before and do enjoy it so much. I am making a tablecloth for my daugther’s family in Scotland. We will have a reunion there, my five kids from South Africa, Germany and Holland and I get to meet grandchild no 3, which is due in November. Soooo excited!

Say hello to precious Milkshake for me. :D
