Sugar Plum Stocking Treats
If you’re sitting around with not much to do this afternoon, hop on over to my website and click on the “free” pattern page!
What is Sugar Plum Stocking Treats you ask? It’s one of those applique quilts that I occasionally design as a free pattern! But this time, instead of it being a block of the month, I’ve made it a block of the week!
I’m letting you know about this pattern a month ahead of time so you can get prepared! Print out the information page and materials list. If you read about it now, you’ll have time to choose your fabrics, pick your layer cake and get ready to sew along with me! We’ll be making one block a week and you can do this! The blocks are easy and oh so cute! I promise you a quilt before Christmas if you keep up with me! Here’s the schedule:
Now just think…if you sew along with me every week you’ll be able to ask me questions, I’ll try to answer them, and even give you tips as I think of them. The pattern is FREE and the quilt is cute! I’m giving you a sneak peek on my Free Pattern page so you’ll have an idea of how it looks. You’ll just need to use your imagination and add 12 darling applique blocks! This pattern will be available for a limited time so be sure and print each block as I post them. The fabric I’ve selected is Sugar Plum Christmas (of course) and it’s still readily available.
To make this easier for some of you, I’ve put together quilt kits with everything you need to make the quilt top and binding. You’ll just need to add 3 1/4 yds backing! I also have Comso Floss kits available and I’ll be adding an embellishment kit very soon (you are GOING to want the embellishment kit, but you won’t need it until the end).
I know some of you are going to ask me, what if you already have a fat quarter bundle or a fat eight bundle of Sugar Plum Christmas, can you use it? Yes, you’ll just need to add the additional yardage from the materials list.
So get ready everyone! July will be here before you know it, and I hope you’ll be celebrating Christmas in July with me!
Tomorrow, bright and early, I’ll be announcing the winners of the Bunny Hill stocking design contest!
Back soon!
Anne

This looks like such fun…I’m going to have to give a try, even if I can’t finish in time. Your QALs are always the best, Anne :)
