all in a row moda blog hop
Hi everyone and welcome to Anne and Laurie’s day on the Moda “All in a Row” blog hop! I’m not sure who at Moda decided how to assign teams, but when I heard I was partnered with Laurie from Minick & Simpson, I couldn’t have been happier. I have my own secret fan club for Minick & Simpson. I love everything they design, I buy their fabric and someday I’m going to applique one of Laurie’s beautiful quilts.
For this blog hop we were asked to make each other’s row from the new book “All in a Row”, using our own fabric. Let me show you my row from the book…
…and then I’ll show you Laurie’s row from the book. It’s what I call “sand pail heaven”…
Just so happens that I love sand pails and table runners. I decided to make use of both rows as a table runner!
I used mine in December and surrounded it with snowmen.
I’ll use my version of Laurie’s row for the 4th of July! I used Mistletoe Lane and Moda Basic Dots for some red and white fun. I can’t wait to get this quilted!
(I had a lot of help when I was trying to take this photo)…
What do I love the most about my new table runner? The stars made of wool!
I added a 3″ wide border to the row and I think I’ll use the red & white stripe from Mistletoe Lane as a bias binding.
I’m giving away two copies of this wonderful new book, so leave me a comment on this post and I’ll pick two random winners next week.
The REALLY big prizes will come from Martingale and Moda but you have to enter their contest to win! Here’s the link to the Facebook page that will tell you all about it. You’ll have to stitch up your own row or two, but I bet you were planning on doing that anyway.
“All in a Row” is a really fun book from a fun group of Moda designers. I hope you love it!

Your row in the book is filled with one of my favorites— snowmen! But I also love red and white. The sand pail is a perfect design for a summer runner.

I love row by row quilts but have never made one! I think that is going to change as soon as the book arrives!
