Snow Happy Hearts for February
Are you ready for another heart pattern? If you haven’t seen it yet, February’s heart is sweet as can be, and it’s just in time for Valentine’s Day! We’ve used a bit of brown wool felt for the bird and his beak is a tiny satin stitch. If you prefer you can make the bird from fabric. Just applique with tiny stitches. Speaking of tiny stitches, there isn’t enough time in the day, or strength in my hands, to stitch all the samples I need. I’m lucky to have some really good help. Inspirations
There are so many things that inspire and excite me. All you have to do is look around, and you’ll find them too. I get the most excited when one of you uses something I’ve designed, and takes it to the next level. Maybe you use a different fabric, add a different touch, or you change it in a way that adds your own creativity. It’s exciting! It’s 8 days and counting until the next heart pattern is here. I hope you’re excited! Here’s a little hint for the Snow Happy Hearts theme for February; you can use it as a Valentine, and you may want to make more than one. Some of you have asked about the heart fabrics for the rest of the year. Here’s what I’ve selected from Mistletoe Lane: February is the pretty pink plaid at the top left, and December is the red snowflakes on the bottom right. Happy January 3rd!
Organizing in 2015 Just three days into the New Year and I can feel the excitement. I’ve been reading so many good blog posts on how to get organized, de-cluttered and make life simpler. My favorite posts have come from The Inspired Room. Melissa breaks everything down into doable things and she makes me want to get started right away.
