Snow Happy Hearts for February
Are you ready for another heart pattern? If you haven’t seen it yet, February’s heart is sweet as can be, and it’s just in time for Valentine’s Day! We’ve used a bit of brown wool felt for the bird and his beak is a tiny satin stitch. If you prefer you can make the bird from fabric. Just applique with tiny stitches.
Speaking of tiny stitches, there isn’t enough time in the day, or strength in my hands, to stitch all the samples I need. I’m lucky to have some really good help. I think some people are just born to stitch, and one of them lives right across the street from me. Kim Stephens has been helping me stitch for at least 3 years and lately she’s been working on Snow Happy Hearts. She takes my fabrics and drawings and helps me bring them to life. Can you believe she’s my neighbor?
These are the fabrics we’re using in order of appearance. You can find them at your local quilt shop now! They’re all from Mistletoe Lane and they shipped this week.
Have a great week stitching February’s heart! You’ll find the pattern under the “free” tab.

You are very lucky to have such a great neighbor/friend that helps bring your beautiful ideas & designs to life. I bet the feeling is mutual :-). It’s very obvious that your collaboration is perfect!

The heart is sooo cute! Love everything about it: the sideway turned snowman (although I have the feeling it’s a snowwoman), the heart and the little bird.
You have some great neighbours wish mine were so good but I don’t think one of them is a quilter:-(

You don’t know how big I’m smiling right now. LOVE the sweet little bird!
