Leaving for Quilt Market
It’s that time of year again when Houston Quilt Market comes around. I leave very early Friday morning for Houston, and what a market Moda has planned! The theme this market is “Get Comfy with Moda” and the designers have a fun school house planned. If you’re a shop coming to quilt market don’t miss the Moda School House on Friday. If you’re a blog reader you’ll be able to watch a school house video after market courtesy of www.thefatquartershop!
Hop over to the Fat Quarter Shop blog today and you’ll find me talking about Mistletoe Lane. The quilt is coming to market with me so if you’re a shop owner be sure and come by to see it. We’ll be counting down the days until Christmas!
I’ll be posting to instagram while I’m at market so be sure and follow along. Moda has some new designers and one of them is a sweet friend of mine, Brenda Riddle! Wait until you see her new fabric line…I’m in love and I think you will be too.
I’m not staying long at market this year, but I’m excited to be going!
I’ll leave you with a picture I took on the way home last week. There’s an area near our house where we see these two little owls every Saturday morning on our way to the Farmer’s Market. The little one may jump up to get some sun, but when she see’s us coming she hops down the hole and peeks out. I think these little owls are an endangered species. You’ll be seeing them on one of my quilts someday.
I’ll be back soon. Wish you could come with me!
Hugs,
Anne

We wished we could have met you at the Quilt Festival. We were disappointed that very few designers stayed for the Festival. Maybe next time! :-)

I love those burrowing owls! We have enjoyed one or two each year hanging out with us through the winter. I think it was so dry this past year that they didn’t visit. I missed them.

Those owls!!! You really must weave them into a pattern somewhere so we can use the fabric and see them every day too. ;)
I hope you’ve had a lovely time at quilt market!
