Look What’s Cooking

We’ve cooked up some aprons this week and now you can too.  It’s a free pattern from Fat Quarter Shop!    Kim, Robin and I each picked out fabric, a kitchen towel to go with it and we started sewing.  Kimberly at Fat Quarter Shop made a video that guided us step by step.

Robin made “Miss Perfect Pearl” using fabric by Tanya Whelan.   Didn’t her apron turn out cute?

Kim made “Miss Dinner for Two” using a Sandy Gervais Dinner for Two panel for pockets!

Dinner for TwoI had so much fun making this apron that I actually made two!   I’m calling the first one “Mademoiselle Printemps”.   I used the 3 Sister’s Printemps fabric line from Moda.  I cut an extra kitchen towel in half, gathered the top and stitched it into the waistband.   It’s great for drying hands.

Miss PrintempsI’m calling the next one “Miss Gingham Girl”.   I used some stash fabric (Printemps from Moda).

You’ll find the “how to” video here.

You’ll find the pattern here.

Thanks Kimberly for the free apron pattern!  Everyone at Bunny Hill loves it.  It was so much fun!

What adorable aprons! I love the towel sewn into the apron, what a smart idea! That would be very handy to have since I am always packing the hand towel with me when I am working in the kitchen and my husband is constantly chasing it down. I will be making a few of these, great gift idea too!

Such cute aprons, and I love the idea of attaching a half towel, very clever! These look so easy to make, I’m thinking about making several for gifts with matching potholders.
